anyone know how to remove mildew smell from books?

my mom gave me a bunch of books for my kids that were stored in her basemant. they are in good shape just mildew smelling.

anything that can help get rid of it?

Put them into a paper bag with wadded up newspaper and close the top. Change the newspaper every day or every other day. It should absorb the smell.
