I just read "The Devil Wears Prada"

It was predictable, but entertaining. There is some vulgar language, but nothing I don't hear (oops, used to hear) occasionally.

It made me appreciate the choices that I have made (in being at home with my family). Sometimes I like to dip into books like that to make me WANT to be at home and rearing my children as opposed to the fast paced career that I thought I wanted.

Anyway, it isn't a must read, but it is entertaining.

Finished The Pilot's Wife in one night. I know it's an old one, and when I got to the end, I realized that I had seen the ending before somewhere b/c it was so familiar to me. It was so thought provoking. I mean, how well do I really know someone I think that I know inside and out?

Next am reading a book about converting the Western Native American's to Presbyterianism.

About to go on a 14 day vacation, anyone have any suggestions?

Come on, what's next to your bed, in your bag, on the coffee table?

Thinking of books I've read that would be good vacation reads:
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood
A Widow for One Year by John Irving
The Playgroup by Nina Barrett
The 4th Procedure by Stanley Pottinger (VERY cool!)

Currently on my book pile:
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
Radical Son by David Horowitz
Homeschooling: A Patchwork of Days by Nancy Lande
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

What I am reading:

Rodale's Book of Hints, Tips & Everyday Wisdom

I need to get my library fine paid
I am a speed reader.
That is why I check out too many books at once, then something comes up and I can't return them on time argh!
