Anybody remember..

the Trixie Belden(sp?) series?

They were stories about a girl and her friends who solve mysteries.

I am thinking about getting some for dd (almost 6).

I remember those but I was a bigger fan of Nancy Drew. In fact, I'm still adding onto my collection.

Hmm, I know I've seen the Trixie Beldin books, but not very many of them at the used bookstores. You probably will have better luck trying to get the Nancy Drew books. The older, original books tend to be pricey, but they have reissued them in updated forms in paperback. I see those all of the time.

I loved that series...

It totally reminds me of the '70's. Unfortunately, they're out of print now. Sometimes you can find them at yard sales - you might look on Half.com or eBay, too.

I read EVERY SINGLE one of those books. All of them. Loved them. I would often read one a day!
