Wow.
My holiday blessings. :sniff:
A huge gc from a df so dh and I can have a night out together at a local spot.
Gifts for the kids from the food pantry that has been helping us through and the dh was already committed to volunteering with even after this rough patch.
More gifts from "Santa's Helper" who called this evening and said that there was something for us by the gate. :tears
The kids are going to have more this year than they ever have in the past.
It is so difficult to accept these gifts but reminds us of how much we have given in the past and how thankful we are to better understand how much our giving has ment to others now that we understand first hand.
For now, we have our health (minues a few sniffles and runny noses) a paycheck comming for the part time work dh did for a friend of a friend, an interview for me on monday, family, food, and plenty of blankets to cuddle up under to stay warm through this cold night (supposed to be 38 and that is cold for here). And most of all friends who aren't treating us any differently because of our change in financial status.
We are truely blessed.
