I do understand this......this year has been my first year teaching. I'd been home full-time since graduating with my teaching degree 12 years ago.

I found that this year when I was sick and had to take a few days to get well, I started to think I missed being at-home full time. But I know I'm a happier person working outside the home.

Anyway, I do understand what you said above. I wonder if that ever goes away? Or if it is just an "adjustment" to working outside the home?

I have wondered about my schedule - whether the every-other-day thing is harder because I'm transitioning between such vastly different responsibilities so much. But - like I said, things have been MUCH better since talking it over with my DH, and this past Saturday, we actually had a DATE! And talked even more and made plans for how we can communicate better.

And when it comes down to it, after the week I had last week at work, I am so grateful to be able to work AND be home as much as I am. My job is so good for me, and the challenges at work make me better at home and vice-versa.

I'm very grateful also to hear that other working moms go through the same thing - it helps to know it's normal! It's so great to have a supposrt group here - we all need reminders of litle things we can do to take back control when we feel we're losing it!
