For the mamas in the group that enjoy working and would do so even if they did not

have to, what would your dream schedule be?

Girlie girl was accepted into the full day kindergarten program today along with the other two upcoming kindergarteners on our cul-de-sac. I still have some mixed feelings about 5 year olds going full day, but she will get 4 weekly sessions of Spanish, Art, and Music (as opposed to the 2 of each she'd get doing half day) and those are the things I'm most interested in for her right now.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out my dream schedule. How many hours would you work for your job? Would you schedule in exercise and/or personal enrichment? If so, when and where? (and, for kicks and giggles, tell me what your exercise and/or personal enrichment would be).

20-25 hours a week would be my "we are rich and I still work for fun" schedule. I would still work for fun, and that schedule would make me feel like I was working and still give me plenty of free time
simply getting my lazy self to the gym again would be nice for exercise, but if we are talking enrichment I would take some yoga and bellydance classes and take a foreign language class.

yup, that's what I'm thinking: 20-25 hrs/week, daily trip to the gym, and then I want to see how I can fit a spanish class into the mix.

My dream schedule would be working 10-2 5 days a week. First I would work out at the gym then work for 4 hours, then pick up my kid(s) and have time to play, cook, shop, hang out ect...

I am so blessed. I have my ideal schedule right now.

I'm a half-time contracted teacher in a public school system.

I do have a commute to work since we are talking about Wyoming. (you have to commute everywhere *lol*)

My contract requires me to be there 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wed, Thursday. I have every Friday off. (however I do have to contract in for 5 full inservice days per school year and these are on Fridays...but once I have that done, my Fridays are totally off)

Every morning I get up early and spend time praying and studying my Bible. I get ready for work and have to leave no later than 7:15 a.m. to get there on time. (earlier if the roads are not dry)

As soon as I get off work, I drive back to town and to the gym where I usually work out for 1.5 hours. Then I come home, shower and then usually do some housework or read or just relax until I go get my children from school.

I tend to do my shopping on the weekend.

We are getting a new puppy this Friday so my schedule will shift slightly since I'll have to come home right after work to let her out and then go to the gym.

I really can't imagine a better schedule than what I have. I'm in a professional field, being paid well and am working part-time hours!!!! LOVE IT!!

I'm working 18 hours a week right now and next year am going down to
12 hours a week.

I'd do it now except I committed to the extra six hours last summer and stand by my commitments.

LOL.

So.....12 hours a week is perfect for me!

Hmmm. Depends on my life, ie, whether I'm factoring a little baby into the mix.
But as it is, I think 25 hrs/week.
For personal enrichment, figuring in band/practice is a major priority.

I would also want to work about 20 hours a week.
I would want to work 4 days a week with weekends off.
I would want a flexible schedule so I could be available for the kids field day, etc

YES!
For exercise I would continue with walking and running but with the dream schedule I would get to do it more often.
I would also love to join a gym, take up dance classes, rock climb, or anything outdoors.

Enrichment- FINISH SCHOOL- actually take more than one class a semester.

Hope
