The balance..

I work PT to try to keep my life balanced. I really want my family to come first. Well I have 3 PT jobs and the new one is just crazy about webex conference calls & last minute planning. My schedule cannot be last minute.

I had to move an appt for my 2nd job tomorrow b/c the 3rd job called an all day conference (Thurs conference-noticed us Monday). And I had planned on food shopping Thurs. too. Now I have to do Thurs. job on Fri and get a friend to babysit. And food shopping on Sat.

Now job #3 just sent out 2 webex notices -1 is on President's day. A school holiday but apparently not a work holiday. Probably a daycare holiday too. ****. At least they did give me more notice.

Job #2 was supposed to have been done by now and #1 was supposed to have transitioned into #3 but hasn't yet.

I only have 3 days of daycare a week. I think I'm going to explode.

I can't imagine the stress of juggling all that. I've done 2 PT jobs + family and that was hellish enough.
<<<<<<breathe>>>>>>, it will be OK!
Do you have a back-up friend that can help you with daycare?

Well it's stupid overall b/c the whole total should only be 15 hrs per week and I have 24 hrs daycare but each seems to need their hours on different days.

Job #2 was supposed to end in November and now they are saying June. I'm the only person nationally in my company licensed to do this job. It's about 3 hrs every other week. So its not a big deal except when the other schedules interfere.

Job #3 is only supposed to be 10 hrs per week. Well they keep adding all this training. The actual work from job #1 is going to to job #3 (why I took #3) but the transisiton is slow. So I'm doing the work at #1 and training at #3 (obviously the training has nothing to do w the technical work).

So if I quit either #2 or #3 then w/in a few months I"ll have no basically no work as #1 will go down to about 3-4 hrs a week.

The other thing is the average per week thing - some weeks could be 0 hrs some a lot.

I'll keep and just ignore my random confusion.

Sounds crazy-can you pick up another day of daycare until it smooths out? Might save your sanity.
