'tis the season to hyperventilate.....

any one else about to succomb to complete overwhelm? The holiday season always throughs me for a tizzy - this year is tons worse. I'm in the process of moving and expanding my store!! A zillion construction questions/challenges to figure out on top of everything else plus store promotion and signage and advertising and special events.

Not to mention the new store will feature a resource room/art gallery. How to run an art gallery and contracts for teachers/fee structures/class promotion and not currently skills I have. pant , pant, pant. breathe.....

I am always so glad when Feb comes around (did I mention my son's bd in January?!!) . How about you? Are you overwhelmed? How are you coping?

Cathy

I've been living off of 'sleep remedy' - so hard to shut down my mind ticking through to do lists. Sleep Remedy (same company as rescue remedy) really helps!

I'm actually not too stress. But, that's mostly because we will be out of town for the holidays and decided to do very little.

Oh, and my camera is being repaired, so I've put the christmas cards to the side. And, we are not entertaining. It's a very very low key holiday.

Congratulations on your growing pains!

My work is so super busy right now I feel like I am chasing a freight train. Home I'm bogged down trying to get ready for holiday, get ready for big trip, paint the walls so the landlord will replace the floor while I am gone, plus extras like baking goods and buying appropriate clothes for holiday events. I

Home is infringing on work and work is infringing on home.

I've splurged on Emergen-C just to try and keep us healthy. And beer to quell those nagging bedtime thoughts.

awh, the careful timing between beer to slow down and caffeine to move forward........ I'm way too familiar with that dance lately. Though I've found that cutting back on both is the most helpful combination of all right now.

I hope your work and home get 'hitched' together soon on that freight train! A vacation right now would just put me over the top.... may it bring peace and rest to you!

Oh god yes. Holydaze + normal busy routine = total and utter chaos.
Busiest time of year in the restaurant world...
Caffeine is good. Beer is good. The house is a wreck. It'll probably stay a wreck until... possibly Dec 24th. I have laundry pencilled in for that day.
And ya know, I'm not even doing too much over the top xmas stuff. Just the usual, which I don't know when I'll get it done. Shopping for dd... I guess I'll work that in on Dec. 24th too.

Cathy, the art gallery sounds great, good luck in your new space!
And hey everyone, hang in there this month!

I know it. I have some friends bugging to come over this Saturday. They even offer to bring dinner. All I can think is that means I have to clean the house 2x. Sat. before they come and again Wed. before we leave for FL.

Better they shouldn't come and it just stays a mess until Wednesday.

I hear you. Everything is pulling pulling pulling. My list is too long and I'm sleeping less (stress?). Going on vacation tomorrow though so there is hope.
