I've been sick w/flu the entire week...and I did not miss not working

I'm feeling a little guilty about not missing working becuase I love teaching!!

I'd been a at-home mom my entire adult life and this is my first year teaching.

It is only a part-time position which is perfect for me.

I love the extra income my job generates.....I really do love teaching preschool, but I realized this week how much I miss being at home...even if it was with the flu!!!

I am just talking out loud here but has anyone else been home from work for a week and realize you miss being at-home, but still like your job too?

Is this just the tug-of-war that all working moms feel??? It's not that my children were here with me...they are all in school.

I guess maybe the guilt of not preparing healthy meals every night, and not having a clean home really reared up this week while I have been at home sick.

I'm not sure of the purpose of this post, other than to share my feelings and wonder if anyone else has felt this way?

Now I'm feeling guilty for not being totally thankful for my job......I realize how lucky I am to work part-time as a teacher in my chosen grade level. I do love my job.
