So I'm a manager now...

Kitchen manager. I guess you'd call that a promotion, although it all happened very casually. Anyway, I'm excited because its the first time in my long and varied work history that I've actually had that title.

I LOVE St Louis! Well, love it when it's not sweltering, lol.

Fab news on the promotion. Did you get a raise! I hope so!

I daydream occasionally about making flat bread since you told us what you do. Got any easy kid-friendly recipes to share?

Anyway, congrats!

Oh, a few. You know, stoner kitchen dudes that you have to remind a million times not to leave the inebriation cake sitting out overnight.

That would be so awesome! Please do any time! I can bake for you, and you can give me a session of therapy... LOL. Just kidding!

Weellll, this was just made official today in a meeting with the pastry chef so we didn't get a chance to talk money. But I'm pretty sure a raise is in order, since I've gotten two of them in the three months I've worked there.

Recipes? Hmmm. This woman from the paper has been hounding us for our brownie recipe but I'm sworn to secrecy on that one.
Maxine's wild about the flatbread but I've never tried it at home. It couldn't be simpler though - just flour, salt, olive oil and water. Once you make a stack of them, they keep in the fridge for a long time, so it would be great for a family to build "personal pizzas" on.
