INcompetence

Is it just me?? or is everyone seemingly incompetent?

for example:

Get me DSL up, of course it doesn't work. I had to pay to get it fixed b/c the "lines were hooked up wrong." So that's now my problem.

Made an appt. to get the floors in today. I get all the way down here and there's a message saying they're not sure if they can get them done today. That was the WHOLE point of me coming in today. so I could be here all day so the floors would be done.

Nobody calls back. I have to leave 3 messages before people call back. Don't pppl want my business??

I can only imagine what picking up the uhaul in ventura tomorrow will be like. I expect to hear "oh, can't find your reservation" I'm sure.

opening is a sure fire time of frustration! I totally understand, btdt.

My Dad used to drive me nuts saying that anticipation solved most problems before they became problems. Years later, I can see the wisdom. You gotta micro-manage everything at this point to get it done on schedule or to have any confidence that people are doing what they say they would. Call ahead, call ahead, call ahead, call ahead.

hugs.

Are you coming on Saturday?

yes! i cant give you an exact time right now, as I have to get this uhaul and pickup a bunch of fixtures I won on ebay for the store. I'll definitely be there at some point though! Probably earlier than later.

As a business owner, I would have to say yes everyone is incompetent. If you can't or don't do it yourself there will probably be issues.
