I've been working evenings and weekends forever. I've always gone back to work as soon as I have the doctor's go ahead.

Sometimes part time, sometimes full time.

Right now, I'm bartending part time and looking for another part time gig to fill the gaps.

Woohooo!!! We got it!

I will post more later tonight, but right now, I have to . . . . . . .go to work!!!

I'm a psychologist in private practice and I work M-T with some W evenings right now. And, I Just Just Just transitioned to having my very own office (I had been office sharing) in the same building. So, I'm still getting everything put together - including internet connection. I believe that I'm on tap to getting my phone services hooked up today so hopefully they can do internet then as well. But, I'll tell you all about it when I come home

I'm so excited to have this forum for many reasons!

I technically am a WAHM but I don't consider myself one. I am the dept head/technical computer analyst for the support team of a computer company based out of Vancouver, B.C. I do work from home, but I work fulltime in my office (in my home) from 9-5pm M-Fri, and am on call about once per month for the weekend. I have heavy deadlines etc and when I am working, I am unavailable, for the most part to my family. I do have more flexibility than most, and obviously no commute. I would like to belong to this forum since I really do not belong to the traditional WAHMs.

I am glad to be here

I have been a sahm/wahm for the last 5 years or so - the tiedye businesses and now full time home daycare.

A month ago I started working at Curves for women (www.curves.com)
3 nights a week. I work Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:15pm-close (which is 8:30pm on mondays, 7:30pm on tuesdays and 8pm on Fridays).
Once a month I work a Saturday too from 7:45am-12:15pm.
and this week I ended up working an extra night cuz one of the girls had car trouble.
My curves is about 7 minutes from my house and I really really love my job. Well, except the vaccuuming lol.

We're just now starting to adjust to me not being home for dinner 3 nights a week. The extra money is paying for Romans preschool which is why I took the job, plus it helps me mentally to be out of the house a bit and doign what I love - encouraging women in fitness, health and weight loss.

OH WOW! I'm SO excited to see this here!
I've been working on and off as dd (who just turned five) has grown. Mostly part-time until now. Last year I was working for a pre-school program that I could take her to, that was great! Then our program got cancelled, so at the beginning of August I switched gears and started working full-time as a baker in a restaurant. I mostly love the work, but I'm still adjusting to the schedule, trying to fit everything into my hours off, and the weekends are short!
Dh is in school full-time and works part time, so it's all a little crazy around here.
OK, gotta run to work. Subscribing!

Well, I am both a WAHM and WOHM, as a WOHM, I am a lic. Realtor. I love it and wish I could do it more. The market in MN is super stinky right now, so I am glad I have akidlet to stay home with, when the market picks back up (and I know it will) then I will jump back in the swing of things. I am on a team though, so I do keep up with things

I'm here! Been working as an RN in the hospital since late 2001. Started out full time nightshift, which I hated. Did that for two years. Now am working every weekend, 7a to 7p.

I work 2 days per week, 8-6, as a dental hygienist. dh has those 2 days off, so one of us is always home. my son is in 1st grade and my dd is in preschool M-W, 9-12. it has been an adjustment to have dh be in charge of homework and dinner those 2 days. let's just say the kids usually eat hotdogs and mac 'n cheese, or spaghetti on Tuesdays and Thursdays! good thing they are not too picky.

I'm a respiratory therapist in a teeny tiny rural hospital. I'm also a single mama. Thankfully I live in a low COL area and can get by on child support and working part time. Things are pretty tight some months but I'm going to stay part time as long as humanly possible. I am also trying to get going with my WAHM thing and I have a boyfriend that live over 100 miles away so I'm so busy sometimes i can't think straight. Finding balance has been my biggest challenge.

Hey mamas...I am a Registered Nurse & I work in surgical services (recovery room nurse & I help in OR at times). I started out two years ago working FT on Telemetry/Cardiology, 11a-11p three days a week (it did not work for me as I worked 40min away in heavy traffic and the stress of working on a cardiology floor, new out of school...argh). Now I work M-F eight hours a day...no nights, no weekends, no holidays (no CALL!). I used to work VERY PT when I was an LPN when Branden was young...then I started FT two years ago. I thought I would hate working 5 days a week, but the regular schedule works much better for me.

Hi, I am excited about this group, I own a day spa in the NC mountains, which as of today is for SALE!! Will post link when it is on mls. I love what I do it is just way more hours and stress than I want right now. I think it will take awhile to sell, then I'll have to figure out if I want to start another business, or work for another spa, or do something else for awhile....

welcome! As for me, I think this forum would be for you since you are not providing childcare for your children while you are working, so even though you are technically home, you aren't.
