Mamas,
I need to buy one. The one at Wal Mart looked kind of, well, not very sturdy and quality.
I see one in the new One Step Ahead Catalog but have no clue as to if it is a good value.
Looking for a single one.
I'm hoping to sell my two double strollers to go towards the purchase of one.
Remember, I live near ZERO shopping. So if you have online ideas?
Are there any sites online that rate these things???
Thanks.
Michelle

I forgot to add that I'd be using it for our almost 4 year old son so I need sturdy one for a bigger child like him.

InStep Safari TT (the front wheel turns or it can be locked into place). My dh loves it for jogging...there is a parent tray, child's tray that can be removed, and a front bar that can be removed...basket underneath, pocket for keys, etc. on the back of the hood...VERY nice!! And inexpensive too.
http://www.wagondepot.com/ar160.html Shipping is included...great company to work with...and it takes only about 10-15mins to put it together!

I got mine off of ebay (new in box!!) from LaurasWorkshop (She's located in Las Vegas. Her email addy is freenubbins@aol.com) and LOVE it!! Super sturdy - holds both my 6 y/o and my 5 y/o no problem. I think the total weight is 125 lbs. which is about 25 lbs more than any other one I've seen. I paid $129.89 total, including shipping - auction price was $92.00. the material is heavy duty and handles well - even my dh likes it after complaining how big it was and how much room it took up in the living room.
Oops!! Just noticed you were looking for a single. I know when I was bidding on mine (a double) she had a number of singles up for auction. This was as of 02-06-03. HTH

I just got one for Kaya who just turned 4 in April. I bought two others and returned them and finally settled on the BOB jogging stroller in Blue. I have no idea what the website but I am sure its on google. We bought it locally and it was $300 but I know Kaya won't outgrow it by size first! LOL She will protest stroller sitting first which I hope doesn't happen anytime soon. Its quite an investment but I figure when we are done with it, I can sell it thru the local paper and get most of my money back.
can you try Ebay?? I highly recommend BOB strollers :) HTH

The plain jane Babytrend version from Toys R US.
We bought it because it was the only one that had a WIDE enough seat at DS's shoulders for him to rest without wedgin himself in at an angle (make sense, LOL).
He still fits in it as a leggy five year old, bt we primarily use it for the8 month old now.
And we're not very nice to it (rain, beverages, etc) and it has held up very well. That said, it is too heavy for a serious run -- we used intinitially for the 2 mile walk to and from the library.

Does your double fold down?
We do need more than one (eventually) to get one for our special needs daughter but the first stroller I'm looking for will be used by me with our 4 year old (non-disabled) son for workouts and going all over town.
I'm asking if your double folds down because if it does, then surely the single will.
I'll check the ebay seller out. I've had good luck on ebay with folks who run business's there.
Hugs,
Michelle

Emily,
I'd be starting off using it walking but I do want to start running. I've always wanted to do that and we are finally doing to live in a town (moving in two weeks!! Yeah!) that has nice bike trails.
I'll check out toys-r-us when we go to visit my parents this next weekend.
Thanks......
Hugs,
Michelle

Heidi,
I'm going to check that one out too! I love all these options I am getting here.
Does yours fold down somewhat??? We do have a huge 15 passenger van but with our other daughters wheelchair and another daughter who will be getting a wheelchair soon.....we need our sons jogging stroller to fold down just a little bit. (did that make sense?)

Michelle

I'll do a search soon. I am trying to avoid getting cheap-o one that I will not be happy with. I may use whatever we get for our 6 year old very developmentally disabled daughter every once in a while too.....at least until we can get a special one made for her. (need to work with our insurance company for hers)
Anyway, I'll check out the BOB on both ebay and in a google search.
Is it pretty durable? Does it fold down somewhat?
Hugs,
Michelle

I have a Kool Stride jogging stroller and I love it!! (I have The Senior). Kool Stride also sells a jogging stroller that is designed especially for special needs adults and children.
Here is their website http://www.koolstop.com/joggingstroller/index.html
Here is a great place to buy strollers online:

Good luck!

Here's a second vote for the B.O.B. Sport Utility Stroller! We LOVE ours. Got it on ebay for $149. The website is: http://www.bobtrailers.com . We've been using it from 3 months to 17 months (now) and our son just jumps and squeals with happiness when we take it out. I think the quality is very high. Just saw a Gozo stroller this weekend for the first time and they look very cool - converts in minutes from a double to a single and back again - www.gozo.com. Expensive but I just saw a used one go on ebay for $350. GL! Cathy
