start with your fabric wrong side up, here you can see I've serged the edge, turn up your seam allowance, I press this

then you're going to fold the hem allowance back to the right side of the fabric. Leaving a small "lip"
here you can see how it's folded

remember your blind hem goes ___ (straight) ^ (zig) ____ (straight) _____(straight)^ (zig) so your straight goes on the lip and your zig goes on the fold.

It takes some practice so that you get just the right amount of zig into your fabric. Too much and your stitches show too little and it doesn't hold.
