I think we are going to get Bailey a Fish Tank (with a hood lol) and some cool stuff to go inside it and a couple colorful fish.

Just curious what everyone else got. :) I also could use a few ideas to tell my mom ;P)

I was just coming on to post the same thing! All my child development m=books are out on loan, so I have no handy-dandy lists!

(wow, 'handy-dandy'? I have been watching way too much Rolie Polie Olie")

Books and music are what I am thinking here. Dress up clothing, too. I actually bought Annabelle a new toy - Little People Baby Zoo Animals - and she's not playing with it. Dancing in front of the mirror in a glittery shirt of my Mom's. tp Tori Amos no less. I've been thinking about a doll house, too.

I've had a fish tank, so if you have questions please LMK. Please think about adding cleaning the fish tank to your weekly chores. It's no small task.

we are having a Thomas tank party thanks to a couple mama's here. I bought a wilson cake pan from one mama a couple months back.. and Robin (grahmsmom) picked up some cheap Thomas party supplies for me a couple weeks ago (thanks again Robin!!). My sister is the master cake decorator!

I was thinking of more track too.. Or a set. I have a 50% off coupon for Joanns that I can use at AC Moore (like michaels) so she could get him a nice set for a great price. :p I still can't believe my baby is almost 3.. where or where does the time go?

And Elizabeth.. I have had a few fish tanks.. it is a chore! (thanks for reminding me! LOL) I had a 30 gallon tank one time.. never ever again! I like the play clothes idea too! My mom will be working on my sister's formal so maybe she could whip another cape or two up for him. :p

A pink princess dress! (but that didn't help you much did it? LOL). She did get an IKEA art easel for Christmas from her auntie and she loves that. It's got a chalkboard on one side, a white board on the other and a big roll of paper that can cover the white board for painting. Auntie also gave her a bunch of magnetic letters (both sides of the easel are magnetic) and the kids like playing with those also.

NOTHING!!!

LOL and her birthday is tomorrow!

Ok, ok so I'm "letting" her go ride a horse around in a circle as many times as she wants (providing that both kids are done with the puking thing they are doing today) AND her first "real" swim lessons start on Monday.

She is *thrilled* about both and has been looking forward to both for months!

I refuse to give her the one thing that she has asked for... a horse to live in the backyard. Nope, not going to happen.

OH, on the fish thing? We tried it for ds's b-day at the beg of April and after 2 rounds of dead fish thanks to Julia we'll be waiting awhile to do that again.
PS: Fish don't do well in water that has had bubbles poured into it. And the *will* die if a 3 yo decides to wash cheese covered hands in their water. :) and the tank was covered thank you very much.

Emma got a mommy made teepee/play tent. 7 months later, she still loves that thing, lol. I try to make most of Emma's gifts.

Carter's big gift was a bike with training wheels. He still rides it, and wants to take the trainers off this summer to get the hang of riding a "real" bike. It's a 12-inch bike, I think.

Thanks for the laugh this morning Jenn! We have had a small fish bowl a few times (fish kept croaking for the same reasons you mentioned or just from the over "petting" they were receiving (LOL!!) so this fishy tank will be where he can look at it and touch the glass but he will have to do some serious climbing to get "into" it. I fully expect major exploration missions to be launched once it is set up though!

Thanks for the idea's!! Keep em coming!

Isabella will be 3 in a couple of weeks.

I made her a little backpack with dragons on it (she loves dragons).

We are going to fill it with some of her favorite things like art supplies, book, a new toothbrush, maybe a new video....

Hope

I have twins turning three in July, and though they are very different, I am giving them the same things so I don't hear the fighting. LOL I made then each a huge rainbow play silk square and a Waldorf doll. (Yes they saw me make these. ) I hope the pic comes through.

My first choice of gift for little ones' 3rd birthdays is "their very own" box of bandaids and, for some reason known only to 3yo minds, they are always a big hit! :)
