We (dh, I, ds 13, dd 9) watched it at home together.

ds (2 1/2) was in the room but not interested in watching.....


The movie was good. It held our interest. It made us wonder what was going to happen. It had us discussing what we would do (chose to live forever or not?) It had a great cast.

Rated PG (no bad language, no sex scene, one scene of someone falling from a tree, there are some guns and one person shown getting killed)

I recommend it.

I took my 12 yo DD to see this movie (after she begged me for weeks). We both really enjoyed it. I have to admit that I was presently surprised that it wasn't just another teen angst movie;)

We watched it, DH and I and we both really enjoyed it!!! :) Definately recommend it.. it's a cute movie! It was required reading when I was in school one year, but I couldn't remember what the book was about until I stared watching the movie!! LOL

I haven't watched it, but OMG that was one of the best books I have read in the last 3 years. I read it on the recommendation of a 7th grader!

This has always been one of DH and I's fav books from growing up, and to be honest, we were a bit dissapointed with the movie. I think it could grow on me, I hope because we bought it w/o watching it. I loved the music they chose, but they changed the tone-I guess to make it more teen/adoles. friendly. It was good, but I regret buying it.

she said it was the one time that the movie was better than the book. She was really bothered in the book that the female heroine was 10 when she "fell in love" with Jesse. So, the fact that they made her character older made her feel a little better about the whole "love" situation.

I haven't read the book, but she has impeccable taste and is totally trustworthy.

The movie was entertaining for us though.
