We just watched this tonight and I thought it was cute. It's nice once in awhile to just watch a funny, mindless movie, you know?! It had a cute story, just the right amount of humor and romance, and a happy ending. I thought the casting was great - the characters were all done well. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Two thumbs up to Tom Hanks and his wife on this one.

Yeah this was a good romantic comedy, I even bought it :)

It was quite funny and entertaining in the beginning, but I felt that the ending was kinda rushed, and it felt like the producers ran out of humor :)

I agree Renata about the ending, but I had a ton of laughs throughout the movie. DH kept coming into the room to see why I was rolling on the floor laughing so much. He wasn't into the movie so much, but I did like it.

I'm gonna be the total meanie here. :(

My sister went to see it in the theater 4 times, and that is totally odd for her to do. So I was really geared up to see it, so maybe that's why I felt let-down.

I do think it was totally rushed, and the humor was pretty old towards the end, except for the father with his Windex, that is hilarious!

Overall though, I was disappointed, but probably because it got really talked up to me. ;)

I felt the same way. I was waiting and waiting for the great parts and then it ended. I was expecting something hilarious like Theres Something About Mary. I loved that movie!

did you know it's a true story? and now they are doing the pilot for the sitcom, my big fat greek life... starring the same girl who starred in this... it's HER life story! (edited for spelling error)

DH and I both loved it!!! It was too funny! Funny thing is I know families like this.. we had neighbors growing up that are greek, like moved here from Greece.. LOL Anyway I thought it was a pretty good movie.. but I agree, ending kinda rushed. :D
