I have a bath candy and bath fizzy recipe. Can I just add cosmetic grade glitter to one of them? I'm not planning to make and sell these, they are for oldest dd's party in March. She wants to make these with her friends here at home at her party.
What type of mold do I need to press them into? Or where can I find one of those ornament balls that the recipe mentions? Will it set up in time for the girls to take them home after the party?
Lip balm recipe...? Would these flower pot lip pots be ok to pour them into. I know this sounds like a silly question but I want it to turn out. And finally do you think this is too much or too little to occupy maybe seven 9 & 10 year old giggling girls for an hour or less?
I need to order some supplies now to get everthing ready in time...most stuff I can get from hfs like beeswax, oils, eo's, citric acid but will need to order the containers.
Thanks for any help. You can pm me if you prefer.

Hi Jen!
Cool! I'm gonna jump right in here.. after all, it is one of my favorite topics!

Yes, you can add cosmetic glitter right to your recipe.

You can use just about anything for a mold, but I think those plastic ornament balls are easiest. You can get them at JoAnn Fabrics or any craft store. Each girl would need 1/2 of one to use. They should definitely be hard enough for the girls to take home. If they end up crumbly, which would be if you didn't get quite the right balance of dry/wet ingredients, you can always put them in bags and use them as magic bath rocks or something.

Lip Balm- would go great in those little flower lip pots.

If you were motivated, you could do some melt and pour soap with glitter, too, or with cool little rings or whatever.

I think that covers it, but if you have more questions just yell. :)

You could do solid perfume, too, if you wanted to! It's the same process as lip balm.
