I'm so pleased with how beautiful these turned out to be. We have a friend who is a contractor, and he had his cabinet maker build them. We wanted them to be a bit larger than the ones we found on-line since our kids are so tall LOL!

They are 45" tall and 42" wide. They top dowel is a closet dowel since I predict my kids will want to hang on it! The closet rod extends 4" off both ends (so I guess it's 50" wide). Everything is rounded with a router and the shelves are braced. First thing Ford did was lie on the shelves like a bunk bed!

These are by far the best Christmas gift we have given to our children.

Awesome! They are very much like the ones dh made our kids for Christmas! I asked him to make one with 1 high shelf and 1 with 1 low, though.

They were a huge hit!
