I just got a hp 618 digital camera from a friend but no manual and only came with an 8mb compactflash.
What size compactflash is good for quality photos?
How many photos can a 32mb, 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, etc. hold?
What type of recargable AA batterys work the best?
Where to find great deals on both of these?
TIA

Quite good camera.
For manual, see this page:

(the manual is quite big, might take awhile to download if you are on dialup).
I didn't look at whole manual, but saw that this camera takes 2.1 megapixel pictures - with 32 MB card, assuming camera saves pictures in .jpg, depending on picture quality you could probably take 50-70 pictures. Just an approximate guide for you :) (with my 2.1 megapixel fuji, I can fit about 70 high (not maximum) quality pictures on 32 MB card).

Good Call, Renata (you're tough to beat to the punch  ).
We use Ni-MH (nickle metal hydride) - I'd recommend these types over Alkaline or NiCd (nickel-cadmium. aka: Nicad).
I ended up buying my batteries and charger from Amazon for a couple of reasons but you may be able to find them at eBay. You can do a search and you'll end up with PLENTY of online sources. Finally, the local Radio Shack may be able to help as well.

Thanks, Jack. I'm trying to get as well-rounded as I can :) (though still am far from it...)
