MAde this tonight for a few 'i am not sure what else to get for them' gifts - it will be perfect!

1 c. whipping cream
1 c. whiskey ( I used canadian mist, the guy at the liquor store said it was a step above cheap whiskey, but still inexpensive)
1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1t cocoa powder
1 t vanilla
1 t almond extract ( i did not have)
1 t instant coffee

mix in blender for 1 minute, let chill in fridge for a bit to combine flavors.

Just like baileys, only better!

Awesome. DH just bought some last night and loved it in his coffee. That looks really easy. Wht kind of bottle do you put it in for gifting?

well - that was the tricky part, as I did not really find anything at the stores Iw as at last night (target and hobby lobby), I happened to have 3 old time milk type bottles from my soap/lotion stuff that have not been used and will be perfect for me. My other plan, if I had not found those, would have been to get some cute glass bottles (think syrup or something) and empty em out then wash them and fill them.

I am sure the stores have to carry sometype of empty bottle that would work -I just could not locate it last night.

oops, just realized I left 1 t instant coffee off of the recipe - I will edit to add that, but will still be good without!

Heehee! I went back to the recipe and thought I hadn't seen the instant coffee part before! I just made this and found it to be quite strong, which I wasn't expecting! Do you mix it with milk or just drink it straight?

It will mellow some overnight too. i HATEwhisky and this was not too strong for me. Glad you tried it!

I got the recipe from my friend it is almost like yours except she uses syrup not powder and she uses eggs. WOW I think I drank raw eggs. LMAO!
Here's the Bailey's recipe-
I put everything in a food processor and blend.
1 cup whiskey or brandy
14 oz can sweeten condensed milk
1 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp choc syrup
2 tsp instant coffee
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract

*we added a tbsp of caramel this time but have done w/o before

that's my question.

And, Tea, do you guys do venison? If so, do you want some? My neighbor is getting me a 1/2 and I don't think I can fit all that in my freezers. I'd be happy to share if you want.

But, that recipe sounds devine! I must make it.

Kr I punched this in to my trad food list and they doctored it to make it more healthy.

I put everything in a food processor and blend.
1 cup whiskey or brandy
14 oz make your own sweetened condensed milk with whole milk, sugar and a vanilla bean. Starting off with 6 cups milk you end up with 4.5 cups that can keep in the refrigerator. You could use Rapadura or other sugar in place of the white sugar called for. The recipe takes an hour to make! Yikes! (I can get you that recipe) or another gal said just use coconut milk?
1 cup raw cream
2 tbsp organic chocolate from Wildnerness Family
2 organic fair trade coffee (you might need to do cold press)
4 farm fresh eggs raw
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract

*we added a tbsp of caramel this time but have done w/o before

Doh! This is what I get for hardly being able to keep up with the pace of the board here! I did not even see this back in Nov Rebecca. YES we do venison - if you still have some you would like to offload I would be happy to take it off your hands! My freezer is pretty bare right now!

Just reread your post, and it is probably too late since you thought you might not be able to fit it all to begin with.....just let me know if there is still some around!

Now to backtrack and find out what the question was...since it is like Christmas already!!!

on the question of how long it keeps, my answer is...
no idea. It did not hang around here long enough for any kind of a test run!

Tea, ended up not getting any! But, since I know you guys do venision, I'll let my neighbor know and maybe I'll split a 1/2 with you (you know, for all of $25 to process).

Way to think ahead on the bottles Mrs. Mommy.

wanted to add, for Tday I did not have the syrup or coffee granules, and used half rum and half whiskey as I was using the bottoms of two bottles - and it turned out great.
So they key is apparently the sugar/heavy cream/some type of liquor. Just like everything else in life, take fat, add sugar, stir and enjoy.

You could get one of those starbucks frappucinos in the glass bottles for a cute bottle with a lid.

I think I am going to whip this up with some friends... how long does it need to sit? I never have made it (tho I see under my old username I intended to lol). Could we say, make it and let it sit for an hour or two then drink it?

Ok, I just tasted it again and it reminds me vaguely of nyquil. LOL But um, that is the bacardi rum's fault. I really do not like bacardi rum. Next time I will get some decent whiskey for this.
