Wow, I hadn't thought of it like that yet.

I am GRADUATING next week! Whooohoooo.

I think my longer term plan is to get an MBA but for the shorter term, I need a job!! I just don't know what I want to do now that I am here.

I was getting a business degree and nearly completed it, but then moved across the country, so I ended up getting a regents bachelor's of arts degree, which is basically a general bachelor of arts degree. All of my upper coursework though is business courses. I am not really sure how to spin this degree to get a job?

Also, I have never had a real job in my entire life. I did own a small cloth diapering business and have that as experience, but aside from that, my work experience is waiting tables and slinging espresso.

Help? What do I do next? We are moving to who knows where in the next 6-9 months so I am going to wait to job hunt until then (I will be looking for part-time work) but I feel like I should be doing something now, aside from working up a resume.

I feel so lost....

work up a resume and figure out what area of business interests you most. Find a volunteer organization locally that you can get a bit of experience with-- most are desperate to find volunteers to replace the paid staff that they had to cut.

you ran a diaper business? Which means you sourced supplies, balanced the books, shipped items, focussed on customers....and realized you didn't get money without a sale???

You are the golden employee. REALLY. you know the connection between productivity, pay, and sales. GOLDEN.

Waittressing? High stress problem- solving. Physical endurance. Customer Service.

Shine your work. Really, shine it. You have tons more experience and problem-solving skills, and business face than most graduates will get in their first few years.

g'luck.

I did do very good work, but when I used that to apply for entry level jobs I got turned down for being overqualified. LOL Ironic. Anyhow, that will definitely count towards my 1 year of work experience (I need two for grad school)... I need another year and I guess I don't know how to say this but I don't really NEED to work so I guess I am kinda picky about what I want to do. I always just planned on owning my own business, but that is a bit trickier with dh's job.
