I'm sorry. I don't even know what gdi is, but you're posting here so I'm guessing you are losing the bf relationship. It sucks ... I know.

he was born with a really high palate that made milk transfer almost impossible.
Now that he's a bit bigger, he can nurse better, but my supply is low and he is used to taking a bottle.
I'm thinking of renting a pump again and working at increasing the supply now that he's sucking better. But, honestly, I'm afraid of being terribly disappointed again. It's just so painful.
But, right now he's nursing like a champ. Maybe I'll just keep offering him the breast and go from there.
I just had dreams of child led weaning, nursing a toddler, etc. I just feel like such a failure. My pregnancy sucked. My labor sucked. Now this.

Try and get your supply up mama! He's nursing good, that is awesome! Do what you can to increase your supply. I pumped, drank mother's tea (i think that's what it's called). I made the breast feeding cookies, I can find you the recipe if you'd like. If your up for it, try and get your supply up. There is still hope that you can have the nursing relationship you wanted, right? It's worth a shot. And if it doesn't happen you will feel better knowing you did everything you could.

awww, thanks guys. This thread is actually a few months old. I tried EVERYTHING! It just wasn't meant to happen this go 'round. I'm ok with it. Of course, I'd love to be nursing, but I'm just thrilled to have a happy, joyful baby who is incredible.
but thanks for the support.
