Not that I've ever been known for my patience.

The department has 30 days from the application date to admit me, or not. You think that includes weekends?

I don't know WHY I'm so anxious about this. It means very little if I get accepted and don't get an assistantship. Well, I do know why. Because I really, really want to do this.

Last night I dreamed I was back in high school trying to repeat all my math courses and the guidance counselor made me take hours and hours of placement exams first. (I did fine on the exams, LOL, but I felt so silly being back in high school with all my gray hair. That and I woke up tired from taking all those imaginary tests.)

Any news?

Only that I discovered that their system automatically notifies me when one of my references submits a recommendation. That and the professor with whom I am scheduled to meet about a possible graduate assistantship is very enthusiastic about meeting me and *talks* like it's a done deal. So maybe that counts for something. I don't meet her until the 16th of January though.

It's a good thing I'm not really a nail biter. (And thanks so much for asking!!)
