I have to interview an atheist for my theology course and I do not know anyone in person who is an atheist. If you are an atheist, would you mind answering these interview questions? If I have worded them in anyway that is insensitive, please let me know and I will re-word. It is not my intent to be anything less than respectful. Feel free to e-mail your responses instead of posting if you would prefer. TIA for any help!!
Please tell me about your personal journey towards atheism; such as, were you raised in a religion? How long have you considered yourself an Atheist?
Tough you do not have belief in God, do you consider yourself spiritual? If yes, please explain.
Have you faced any hardships as a result of your atheism, such as with religious family members?
What are your beliefs as far as death and afterlife? And if there is no afterlife, where does an atheist turn to for purpose?
Where does an atheist draw their concept of right and wrong if she has no God-given moral code?
