It was sunny and warm today after being cloudy early in the morning (by warm I mean mid-70s).

Tomorrow it starts pouring and doesn't stop till Monday night, then will "just rain" Tuesday. Wednesday has best chance of being dry. Thursday and Friday, more rain.

:help:

I'm with ya Lauren, today was the only clear day here and we're in for a deluge for the next week. The poor CSA is struggling. I'm lucky that my small garden is on a slope so the water isn't pooling.

Sounds like you are having the same weather we are. Rain Rain Rain. Mid to low 60's. It's freakin' August! :tantrum: We had a couple days last week when it was high 60's/low 70's and showers vs. constant rain and all the kids in the hood were out in swim suits and running around as if it was the Bahamas. It's nuts.

Not at all. It's usually sunny and on the dry side for summer, with thunderstorms moving through in the afternoons sometimes but usually clearing out quickly. Once in a while we'll get 3 or 4 days of rain at a time but that's it. We are going on four WEEKS of mostly rainy weather.

It's all over the news, how horrible this season has been for crops and businesses (tourism), etc.

I am so sorry! We had a horrendous drought last year after a late freeze (took all the apple and blueberry blossoms as well as holly flowers-bees love all those!!!). I understand the pain that these ripple effects cause!!
I do not like those times but I am thankful to understand how nature works and how it effects me, my community and more! Growing up, I think I thought pineapple came from a can LOL

It has been raining all month here as well. Granted we are in winter..
but still ...
sopping wet paddocks are no good for anyone.

No...and this is the least of it. Our friends and neighbors who raise big animals are having a really hard time. No one has been able to hay, so hay prices are going to be through the roof this winter. Not getting cows just yet, may have turned out to be the best decision we could have made. People are really facing disaster. Puts my crying over my silly little veggie plot into some perspective.

I posted in Sisters, but I'm taking a break from the 'net for a bit. I am in a terrible headspace in general. Time for some withdrawing, nurturing and balance between work and play.
