I thoughtthis was the best forum to ask in.

I currently have them all sitting in a plastic egg crate on my cellar floor. Idon't want to loose any.

I may not be much help but we always stored them out in the garage (big giant cool boat building sized garage and no moisture issue) up off the floor in the bag. Dark is good so you don't get too much growth. I should mention we bought them in 50 pound bags so it was quite a lot of potatoes.

cool, dark, and dry. If you can put them in dry sand in a cool basement it is best. Think root cellar type of arrangement. What makes them grow/break down is what you want to avoid. If you can't put them in dry sand (don't use chemical treated sand box sand!) then make sure they have air to circulate and check them regularly for any rot. When they touch and rot it spreads so take out the rotting one and any that it may have been touching. Toss the rotted one and use the touching one asap or keep it separate.

Thanks Katie...I couldn't remember if they were moist or dry storage.
