Which ones do you love? I keep thinking about Mother Earth and never get it but I want to ASAP. And I picked up a Hobby Farm a few days ago that had a plan for a hay rack, conveniently for dwarf goats.
I really have no other ideas though so I'd love input.

I like Countryside and Grit, other than Mother Earth.

Besides the ones mentioned, I love Backwoods Home. A little less "fluffy" than Hobby Farms (although I loves me some of that mag). HF also has a special publication, Hobby Farms Home, that I also drool over. You can find that on the HF website. Great articles about cooking, etc.

Countryside!!!
The newer Mother Earth mags seem to be geared more toward those with $$$. Less do-it-yourself and more prepackaged ideas. However, you can buy the first 20 years on CD, with THOUSANDS of DIY articles!!!
I didn't know you could buy the first 20 years of ME on CD. That is way cool!
I'd never heard of Country Side and Grit either. I'll have to look that one up. I just subscribed to Hobby Farms because of something in the current issue. (Can't even remember what it was. Guess that means I get to be surprised when it shows up!)

Mother Earth News is the best! Love it! Though i don't read it often. I mostly stick to hobby farms. Love hobby farms!
