Many, many years ago I used a seaweed tea concentrate that my house plants loved. I've no idea now what it was called or where I got it.

Please share what you've used that you would recommend. Are the two (fish, seaweed) interchangeable or do they have different uses?

I'll need to buy online as I live in a small town, and even the larger towns around us don't tend to carry anything other than Miracle Grow. This would be for my tomato plants, basil, cucumbers, zucchinis and houseplants.

I'd been using homemade seaweed tea on my plants but am worried they might not be getting everything they need. So far our tomatoes have not been very flavorful. The last time I grew tomatoes indoors they were watered with fish water from our aquarium and they were delicious. What do give your tomatoes?

Thank you :)

Are you near the water? In Maine we used to pick the seaweed and plop it right into the garden.

I use a food from Maine now that I am in another state - I think the business is called "Coast of Maine"

Thanks for the link. From reading there I wonder if I was watering too often with my homemade seaweed tea. Hmm.

Yesterday I had to go to another town to buy animal feed, and found fish emulsion at their greenhouse, and "Alaska Fish Emulsion" at that. I was excited and bought it. Turns out the "Alaska" part is registered and the product isn't made in this state. Who knew you could register a state name?

Came home to research it and found fish emulsion is good for leaf growth, but not flowering. So I won't be feeding it to my tomato plants, but it will probably be fine for the house plants. And the lettuce, I guess. Maybe the basil? I'm so ignorant of those numbers x-x-x and which plants like what. More learning to do. Anywho...

While looking for fish and seaweed blends online I came across AGGrand. The testimonials are impressive.

I don't know what the numbers mean either. This winter will be spent planning a new garden as we hope to start next year on that portion of our property.
