Ok seriously...I have had some serious physical difficulty for over 3 months now.
One day, my insides fell down, seriously I felt it happen. I could hardly walk and could not figure out what happened and was very scared.

I do not have insurance so sadly I had to wait awhile for a dx from an ob/gyn.

part of it was going through cancer treatment and menopause, HOWEVER, this is something we never think much about when we are strong and younger.
We are all going to be in menopause one day and WOW...if there is one loving message I could give to you mama's right now today it is
Do those kegels until you start to feel your body sucked through your anus! seriously. You need to do them deep and intense for things not to fall down in old age.

If I had only known what I know now..I just did not understand....so I have to tell my mama friends in hopes they dont have to suffer.

I wanted to get back to this on why I posted this here.

It is 2 fold

1. Because the more children we have, the easier it is for any prolapse.

2. The more children we have in our family by birth/marriage/adoption...well they keep up busy. Too busy sometimes to really focus a bit of our day on ourselves and personal care like kegels.
And some of us work a job on top of that!

Smooches to you all and strong ligaments, muscles and bones too

I was instructed to kegel like mad from my OB. I am already starting to prolapse. He said I would need a hysterectomy someday :eyes:

My pelvic floor muscles are very weak and stretched out from big headed babies :hahaha:

Good advice KR

 I am glad that your gyn gave you some reason why they are so important. Who thinks about prolapse when they are young unless we are talk to about it.

My bladder control is already that of an 80yo woman, after birthing 4 babies in quick succession. How many are we supposed to do a day??

Well I was told to do this 6 times a day....5xea squeeze, hold for 10sec, release. When you think about it, its only 6 mins a day. :) (I hope its working) :help:

too late for me. :wah:

One of the muscles that helps the floor muscles contract is not connected - so the muscles don't contract like they should. :( Went through PT for it and everything before they figured that out. I had prolapse of the bladder and also of the rectal wall - and had ot have big time repair done on the back side as well as a sling for the bladder. That was 4 years ago. Now I need the bladder re-done - and the uterus is prolapsed now too. :( :drop:

Great reminder!! Funny, I learned to do them in a child care class when I was a senior in high school.... Practiced them, on occasion, ever since!!!
