This is probably an excellent book. But it was a STINKER of a movie. Badly directed, badly edited - I couldn't understand the heavy (fake) accents a lot of the time, and there were no subtitles! I had a squirmy squeaky toddler around at the time, and I probably missed half of the dialogue.
I'll consider it the free DVD (I had a rent one/get one free) of the two.

Ah, that's a bummer to hear. It is a great book. One of my all time favorites.

Yeah. I thought it was pretty bad, too. It was long and painful. Lol. The story druuuuuug on for much longer than it actually needed to to tell the story and the acting left much to be desired.

Oh, I know! In the end I just sat there rolling my eyes by myself, and thinking, "It's GOT to get better than this! The ending must justify all this..." And then, 2 and a half hours later... no, it didn't!! :lol:
