I am so glad I did not attend a couple + years ago when I was a new Christian because it would not have had the depth of meaning and would not have been as awe inspiring as it was now that I have had time just studying the Bible and praying and learning how to listen and walk with God for my life. I have never attended a worship service where I really felt the presence of God with such awe-inspiring-depth as I did there. I know others find it horribly boring, but I found it so...I don't know, Holy.

We will all be attending this Sat night as a family to see what my dh thinks.

It is funny that this was the one Christian church that did not make our "list" of local churches to visit in our search for a church home to worship in. It was because of how foreign and different Catholic worship is compared to the evangelical churches we were use to. But God was really clear and I've learned to obey.....so, I went.

Anyway, this post is a update of sorts.....on my journey to finally find a Christian church to join up with rather than being a lone ranger.

I too love the Catholic liturgy! I hope DH loves it as much as you did!

Dh also enjoyed it but was not as profoundly affected as I was. But he said he'd start going every Sunday with me.

I met with the Priest last Friday and will meet again with him this Friday.

I am attending a class twice a week. It is not RCIA but a group is coming in from Denver who are teaching about how we Christians/Catholics can and need to show the love of Christ to those around us and how important it is to live out our faith in a manner that this touches those around us. It was good.

Dh went again today. I'm continuing in my studies and meeting with the Parish Priest. We filled out and sent in the first section of paperwork to have my first marriage (lasted less than a year....more than 18 years ago now) annulled.

I really love worship there. One thing the Parish lacks is a Bible study group. When I officially join, I'm going to see about starting that up.

That's great, Michelle.

One Bible study that would be interesting to try, IMO, is the Women of Grace with Johnette Benkovic. Maybe you have seen her program on EWTN?
