I have really struggled with my health since January 2008.

First, it was dangerously low WHITE blood cell count 1.4. (WBC count SHOULD be between 6-12).

Now, it is dangerously low RED blood cell count 6.0. (RBC should be ALOT higher ... moderate anemia is 12.0 ... anything lower is considered severe anemia). I have all the severe symptoms of anemia with the exception of eating dirt :) !

I am taking ALL the supplements that I can. I was able to raise the white blood cell count by taking astragalus (an herb that raises white blood cells) ...

and now ... this.

Does anyone have any ideas how EFT could help?

What set up phrase would you use?

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Thank you,

Pamela

~What was happening in your life the 6 months or so before you noticed your health deteriorate?
~Have you felt this way before in your life, if so when?
~Does anything make you feel worse or better?(obviously the astragalus helped:))
~What are the secondary gains from you being sick and tired?

You can tap on simply getting your blood levels into the healthy range of 'normal...following Maggie Adkins protocol she used for her Vitamin levels in the following article.
EFT improves Minerals, Amino Acids & Vitamins (http://www.emofree.com/Research/minerals-amino-vitamins.htm)

That said, I would definitely think about the specific emotional roots of the issue!

If you need more help, keep posting and we will see if we can help you do the detective work.
And tap on "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired' and see what comes up for you. Stories, images, people...

Our family experienced a SEVERE and DEBILITATING trauma in September 2007 that caused life as we know it to come to a complete and total standstill.

I'm not sure what the secondary gains would be ... unless it was an opportunity to retreat from the world and have people leave me alone after the severe and debilitating trauma that caused us to be in the spot light for such a long time.

A gain --- Having a dangerously low white blood cell count meant that I did NOT have to DO ANYTHING for anybody outside of my family. I wasn't even *allowed* to be in public places without risk of getting an infection.

Another gain --- I was finally able to relax.

If you want to talk on the phone so I can teach you the movie technique, I am willing. PM me and we can arrange a time.

1) Write the story of the sever trauma out on a piece of paper.
find the section of the story that has the most intensity when you think about it. Tap while telling the story using the movie technique. Keep doing it until you get the intensity down. Then take the other sections that have intensity and work on those. You do it in sections ,for a couple of reasons. SOmetimes when you work on the most intense part, it neutralizes the other parts. Also, it just gets too long if the movie is more than 2 minutes!

The movie technique; the cornerstone of your EFT practice.

1) first person in color.
2) 3rd person(she, Pamela..her mother(or mother's name) black and white
3) 3rd person black and white backwards. Like you hit rewind on your DVD player.
4) overlay the story with UPBEAT music. Chubby Checker...Benny Hill theme..Can Can music. Move your body with the music. Seems silly, but changes those neurotransmitters.
5) Cartoon. tell the story in bright vivid volor with cartoon characters as the main players. it is you, but you as Olive Oil..or whomever.
6) As if frame. Tell the story as if you would have liked it to happen. It can be realistic or fantastical. Whatever is congruent for you. be outrageous..it can really help you heal!

2)you can also tap along the lines of...
"even though I might not want to get well...I deeply and completely forgive myelf...'
'even though being sick is the only time I am able to rest...the only time I could escape the trauma and relax, the only time people would leave me(and us) alone...,I know that I can be safe and set healthy boundaries and it is safe to be well...'
'even though the only way I could get out of the spotlight was to get sick, it is safe now and I don't need to be ill anymore. I honor the part that was protecting me! Thank you. I want to learn ways to set healthy boundaires for myself. I am willing to let go of the need to be sick to set boundaries"

THink about times in your life when you needed to set healthy boundaries and was unable. Did you get sick other times as well? If so, then you would do well to tap on those as well:)

Read this article and think about your own experience and how you can apply it to yourself. He has some really good ideas!

A procedure for dealing with the resistance to heal (http://www.emofree.com/Articles2/healing-resistance-gene.htm)
Hi Everyone,

Gene Monterastelli explores how our systems can play tricks on us and thwart our own healing process. He says, "Ask the question, "If I make this change, what new problems will it add to my life?" This is a great way to surface any of the penalties you might have for healing."

Hugs, Gary

By Gene Monterastelli

I have always felt that one of the reasons we as humans are different from other animals is our amazing ability to hold two completely contradictory thoughts in our head at the same time and think both thoughts are true. The place I see this most with my clients (and sometimes in myself) is when they want to heal some part of their life, but at the same time think there is going to be a penalty for healing. Here are some of the most recent reasons I have encountered:

* If I get over this fear of public speaking then they are going to expect me to speak more.
* If I get better others are going take credit for my progress.
* Others are going to be jealous of my progress.
* Even if I make progress I am going to backslide again and that sort of failure will be devastating.
* People only give me attention to help me with my problem. If my problem goes away no one will pay attention to me.
* If I get over my heartbreak for him then I am going to have to face the fact there is no else out there for me.

When we have beliefs like these it is very difficult for us to heal because part of us believes healing is bad for us. In these cases it is a great idea to start with the resistance to healing before we work on the main issue at hand.

When dealing with hesitation to heal there are two steps I normally take with clients before we start attacking the main issue. The first step is to go after any sort of resistance to change. I have found this is a good thing to do before any EFT sessions.

Even though here is a part of me that wants to heal … But there is also a part of me that is resistant to healing … It is afraid to heal because it thinks there is going to be some penalty for healing…

Even though I may not like where I am right now, I know how to manage what is going on now…

Even though change might make me different and I might not know how to handle the new situation…

I thank whatever part of me that is resistant to healing because it is resisting in order to protect me … But I choose to know that healing is the best thing for me … Whatever resistance and worry I have about healing I let go … Healing is what is best for me … I give myself permission to heal.

After we have cleared out an general resistance to change we can move on the second step which is go directly after the specific penalties to healing this part of our life. One of my most recent clients, "Anne" made the statement "If I get better my mother is going to take credit for my progress just like every other time in the past." So our tapping looked like this:

Even though I am worried that my mother is going to take credit for my progress…

Even though my mother always takes credit for all my progress I give myself permission to heal…

Even though it doesn't matter if my mother takes credit for my progress, the most important thing is that I am healing…

Even if my mother takes credit for my progress I know in my heart I am the root of all my healing and progress…

It is more important that I heal than worry about if my mother is going to take credit for my progress…

I don't care if my mother takes credit for my progress…

Even though I am worried other people are going to think I am not strong enough to take care of myself and this is just one more time in which I needed my mother to bail me out...

I give myself permission to heal regardless of what other people are going to say and do … I deserve to heal, regardless of how others are going to act…

After doing this sort of tapping Anne realized it was still a possibility that her mother was going to try and take credit for her progress, but is was no longer something that affected her. Since this fear was gone we were now able to attack the original problem.

If you know there is an area of your life on which you need to do work, but are feeling apprehensive about doing the work:

* Spend a little time tapping around any resistance you have for change.
* Ask the question, "If I make this change, what new problems will it add to me life?" This is a great way to surface any of the penalties you might have for healing. Tap on these issues.

By taking these two steps we can move from "hesitation to heal" to "enthusiasm to heal."

Pamela-

The mind, body and emotions are so tightly intertwined. Let me ask you-are you an emotional person? Do you hold it all inside until it spills over? I have found those things to reak havoc on my health.

For EFT, I use I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole quite often. Also, I work very, very hard at keeping negative thoughts out of my head. Once I allow them in, it compounds and I have a hard time stopping them. Focus on positivity. My biggest secret weapons (:) ) are tapes and videos that are full of positive thinking. I play them over and over. It floods my mind with good thoughts. (I love Joel Osteen and I am not religious. He's a great speaker imo).

Linda is so fabulous with EFT & so full of ideas. Always willing to help us too. I absorb a lot from these great women here.:)

Let us know how you do Pamela. It's nice having you here.
