So I was thinking about all the things we learned the last couple days while we weren't doing school. It's interesting how many opportunites there are to learn things everywhere you go :)

Monday we went to the ENT for allergy shots. We were telling the allergy nurse that gives DD her shots that she was having oral reactions to foods because of pollon so she explained to the kids all about bees and cross pollination. We went shopping. Then we went to the library where they spent some time with another little girl, then we picked up a bunch of books on bugs. The kids spent the afternoon in the yard hunting bugs, drawing pictures of them and looking them up in the books. Then DD1 curled up under a shady tree with Junie B. Jones , while DD2 and DS played. Later we went for a walk and they asked questions about the sun. We talked about the earth traveling around the sun, how that affects seasons and temperature, and day and night.

Tuesday we went to the chiropractor. Of course while we were their we saw lots of posters about backs, and identified various body parts labeled on these posters. They dr showed us x-rays and talked about the different sections of the spine and postural alignment. Showed DD1 her xray and her baby teeth and permanent teeth growing in under them. He told them it looked like shark teeth and explained to them about sharks having multiple rows of teeth. They came home had lunch, watched some cartoons, then spent the afternoon reading books and playing.

We've been basically unschooling for a few weeks now. lol We took spring break off and never really got back into it.

Today we spent nearly the whole day loading up brush and branches into the truck and taking it out to my parents' house. Jacob helped a ton--I'm *sure* there was some learning involved in that. :)
