lyl decided she wanted to make cinnamon sugar biscuits for breakfast this morning (i had been making them for snacks for awhile). so she started out by making her own recipe and then following it -
she started by opening a can of biscuits (she said she wasnt ready for "from scratch" biscuits yet) and dipping them in cinnamon sugar homemade mix (with a few secret ingredients)

awww!

she can make monkey bread, too :)

just cut the biscuits in fourths with a pair of kitchen shears or clean scissors (those fiskars blunt-end ones are sharp enough) - then put the cinnamon mix in a bag (or roll in the pan - but it's easier to shake).

You use a cake pan (we've always done bundt pans) and layer some brown sugar and pats of butter in the pan (we do chopped pecans, but you don't have to), then put the biscuit pieces on top - bake until done - and flip it out on a plate. yummy :)

It's one of the first things my kids learned to do :o
