it was $32..
but it was at whole foods and I will edit to show what I got better
4 1/4 pound of whole oats ORGANIC $3.38
pack of hotdogs (old fashioned skin on) NITRATE FREE $4.69
box of cereal ORGANIC PEANUT BUTTER $2.69
ready to eat hot pepperoni/sausage large pizza NITRATE FREE $9
ready to eat hot chicken alredo spinach large pizza NITRATE FREE $9

so how much should this cost?
4 1/4 pound of whole oats .89
pack of hotdogs (old fashioned skin on) .79 turkey dogs
box of cereal 1.99 bag not "box" YK
ready to eat hot pepperoni/sausage large pizza 1.99 technically 5 for $9 something
ready to eat hot chicken alredo spinach large pizza 1.99 same as above
16 oz shampoo .99
loaf of whole grain bread 1.25 from the day old store
pound of spring lettuce .89
taco shells ??
honey bear graham crackers 8 oz ??
4 pounds of sugar 1.09
~$10 plus a little more for the things that I have no idea about since we've never bought them. Of course we only purchase store brand/generic. I get weird about anything that costs of $1 (but that's my issue :) )

Chloe $18 of my total was for pizzas. Were the heck do you get hot cooked pizzas for that price?? Are you quoting frozen? and your prices are they all at the same store....I am just wanting to hear one trip not like run across town to best deals..hope that makes sense.

I guessed $45 before reading the replies.
During spring break, I stayed with my SIL for spring break and she lives too far from the commissary so I shopped at Albertson's and Ralph's during my two week stay and experienced sticker shock big time. Food is expensive!! But I also went to Whole Foods several times and it wasn't so bad. I expected everything there to be priced high, so when I got good deals I was pleasantly surprised. :p

so that is what it would cost before you knew it was organic or were you thinking of me buying organic with coupons??

4 1/4 pound of whole oats - $4
pack of hotdogs (old fashioned skin on) - $1
box of cereal - $4
ready to eat hot pepperoni/sausage large pizza $10
(never seen or bought these before)
ready to eat hot chicken alredo spinach large pizza $10
16 oz shampoo $2
loaf of whole grain bread $1
pound of spring lettuce $3 (I'm assuming you mean in a salad box)
taco shells $2
honey bear graham crackers 8 oz $2
4 pounds of sugar $4
So my total is $43 because convenience foods (like organic hot pizzas) aren't cheap nor really available here. It's great that you got such good deals with coupons, but you won't always have those high-value coupons, right? So it's fun to get such scorching deals, but it's not usual.

Our local Wild Oats has been turning into (bought out by?) Whole Foods... Is that the regular price for a whole pizza? I'll have to check it out next time I'm there.
I bought the 365 brand of vitamins and lotion last time I went, the lotion filled dh's cetaphil bottle and I think will fill it again, and it was less than $5! And he liked it. Someone here mentioned they had cheap shampoo (Sandi?) and I found it last time, and in unscented for my allergic child.

Kerri I am in a coupon swap group and basically I ONLY shop like this. I only buy stuff on sale with coupons and almost buy all organic so I was proud of myself.
AnneMarie every Wednesday Whole Foods has the one topping pizzas for $7.99 but somehow we always manage to get two toppings for $8.99. They are baked while you shop in their wood oven and they are nitrate free. WONDERFUL! I have two friends that basically have done this for 2 years every Wednesday night. MY store just remodeled and added the pizza deli which they did not have before so we have done it 4 Wednesdays. The shampoo etc is 16 oz and it is free with my coupon.

Yeah those would be the price for our cheepy frozen brand. Our store doesn't have the option like you mentioned. If we wanted "take-out" pizza we'd have to go to a pizza parlor, then the total for both would have been $12 (week night special of buy 2 for pick-up only) and we would have to pay in cash vs. being able to use our food card.
All of the prices are from the same store except the bread. That comes from the day old bread store. We shop there once a month and fill the basement freezer.

I don't shop organic - we simply can't afford to unless I find organic canned beans or crackers etc at the 99cent only. Your list in my world would be about $20 non organic

Darn I mis-quoted!! HA! I had a $25 gift card that I got for $10 so truly my total could have been $17...see I am a good shopper and organic to boot. I have to remember to use this card next week.

I buy mostly organic too like the op. I shop the sales. My friends are always surprised how much I get for so little. I went to the store today and got a ton of stuff for $52. Some of it was even convenience food I don't normally get (like sweet potato chips, 3 amy's org pot pies and baba ganoush). Our hfs only has organic produce. They just opened one near my house- yay!
