very fluffy, i know. but i am window shopping today (cant do much since im not allowed to exercise and the meds make my brain barely able to concentrate for more that 2 minutes - im like a goldfish lol)

heres what we have - a homemade platform kingsize bed - heres what it looks like

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/branwynsforsale/bed.jpg

some information on what we are looking for ~

favourite colours: sage, olive, maidenhair greens, forest

dislikes - satin, ummm that might be all. oh! no super girly flowery patterns. zen, lotus, etc are cool . nothing overly modern. something lightweight and fresh and calming. i like the striped one we have now but its so old that its all flat. we are hopefully beig gifted one of those ceiling fans that look like palm fronds! i want it to have kid of an island feel, no primary colours though.

Oh I love that first one Danielle posted....

And Branwyn - your Maire!!!!!! I don't think I've seen a pic before - or at least for a while. She's pretty and so mature looking!

I wanna shop with you. Did you buy anything yet? I'll be back when I get DD to sleep.

It is hot there, no? I'm thinking really thin flufffy wool comforter with an extra removable cotton cover.

Oooh I like your night stand. I love little old pieces like that.

Summers here are between 90s to 100s.
My preference for summer bedding is the same as winter- goose down (or down alternative) comforter with a duvet cover.

I am a big big fan of duvet covers!

If you cant find the color you like, dye one.

overstock.com has some pretty decent deals.

LOVE the pictures! that brown and sage green set is pretty.

I have a lightweight down comforter and they are supposed to help keep you cool as well as warm...

I am weird though, I need stuff on me when I sleep. But having a fluffly, crispy cottony comforter is nice to squish up and cuddle with on warm nights too

I'm the same way; it's a sickness (although thankfully a recent one). I did manage to ignore an Elna in a school cabinet, but that's because I didn't have $60 for it and the cabinet was from 1971.

I:heart: sewing machine cabinet/tables.

If you go with down, the company store is a good place to get nice quality ones. They have a light weight one called 'tropical weight' that might be good for you! They have a sale every year around June/July and put all their comforters on sale - good deals!

The Company Store® is Home to Top-Notch Comforters (http://www.thecompanystore.com/dept/Comforters/3100/)

I'm looking at light wool ones for summer. They breath well and absorb moisture so I think they are good for the warmer season. My down one is 'med weight' so it gets a bit warm for summer.

I must have something on me to sleep too!
