If there is a list available that will tell me what's appropriate for the k-3 grade level on the History Channel, Nat'l Geographic, Animal Planet, etc with good educational content? Esp documentaries, not just the daily/weekly type shows. I got one once listed to a local hs list but it's never been done again and I have no idea where he got the info.

ya know, we recorded a show about the Reformation and dh and I watched a little bit of it and it had some racy scenes. We were so disappointed because it had great info and accurate on top of it. So, never take for granted that just because it's on History channel, it's good for the kids to watch. :(

We have been getting Meerkat Manor, and Planet Earth lately. Then we got Electric Company, and 321 Contact is on hold at the library. The kids watch those for 'entertainment'... I love it. You should see what they come up to tell me about when they watch Planet Earth... "Did you know there is a 6 foot long SALAMANDER??? That's as tall as YOU mom!"
We don't have cable... so I have no idea about the history channel. But we sure are liking the cable shows we have rented lately. :)
