to have walked to the park every wednesday this month! :D Our playgroup is meeting at a park near our home this month and I have walked there, well home from there every time!

DH has dropped us off there in the morning and about 4-5 hrs later  we walk home. It is close by car but it takes me about 35-45 minutes to get home depending on how I go. I feel so good walking, using my own two feet! I am saving gas, exercising and showing my family that we don't need to depend on a car to get from A-B. The grocery store isn't far from the park so it is doable too!

I am just tickled pink to be walking places!

i'm impressed! :) i long to be able to walk places. hopefully, if we have to rent an apartment (rather than a house), we will be able to live somewhere within walking distance of places we need to go.

i will be totally excited for the day i have consistently walked to do something too!!

i think it is a perfect distance actually. so many ppl that I have tlaked to hear thing it is a rediculousy long distance to walk, especially with kiddos (even though they are in a troller/sling)

i just found out today that there is a walking trail to the park near our house. i had NO IDEA!! it's a rather long walk if you follow the roads but dh seems to think it's only about a 20 minute walk if i cut through the path. i will walk it with him first to make sure i can handle it with the double stroller and then i'm going to copy you ashley!

my kids are a LOAD to push in the stroller...the stroller is about 35 lbs, jackson 34 lbs and savannah 42 lbs...so hopefully it's not too hilly!

think of it as a terrific back of the arm and thigh workout. you will be lookign HAWT after a few trips pushing them!

it will be hilly there jules, but it's not too bad! (you are talking about memorial park, right?) maybe you can let the kids run a little bit in the uphill areas?

Olivia walks and rides as her mood suits her. be prepared for the walk to take a long time if they walk! there is soooo much to see below our hip level! ;)

Our community is lacking consistency with sidewalks, so walking is not an option I feel comfortable with here. The other end of our city is full of sidewalks in the subdivisions. I'm a bit jealous as we do not have good biking areas here either--too many wackos speed on these roads.
