Here is the first section of our spring cleaning game. I will make posts for different rooms in the house and I will also post some extra little challenges for everyone. This is all about having fun and getting the house clean at the same time so do what you can or need to and then post when you complete.

Most of these ideas/lists are not original to me, they are things I have copied from somewhere else, just so no one thinks I am that creative. :lol:

I am starting in the Kitchen. This is a master list and you may not want/need to do all of these.

~Unload/Load Dishwasher
~Wash pots/pans and put away
~gather trash
~ clean out fridge
~ take out garbage and wash inside can then spray with lysol or a scent that you like (spray with scent whenever trash goes out)
~ dust tops of things, cabs if they aren't to the ceiling and fridge and any appliances you have on counter
~clean out microwave
~wipe down all appliances
~clean top of stop and drip pans, line drip pans with foil
~clean oven
~wash counter tops
~dust light fixtures, ceiling fan if you have one
~dishwasher- run empty with vinegar
~wipe down cabinets
~dust baseboards
~clean out and wipe out inside cabinets, and drawers
~check spices and herbs and throw away any old ones
~declutter cabinets
~sweep and mop

so what do we do? copy/paste and check them off as we do them?

I would add

Dust and clean blinds
Wash curtains
Clean windows and sills

k- ya'll might call me crazy but i do most of these things weekly, on Sunday in fact, and others every couple of weeks :lol:

i am oing to save this though for future referencew and for kiddo chores down the road ;)

the spice and herb one i regularly forget - thank you!

me too! but some of the things like cleaning the oven, and stuff is more monthly than weekly.

yeah the oven gets cleaned twice a yer, the fridge monthly and all other aplliances weekly.

How every you want to do it is fine, I just thought this would be fun and motivating. I do some of these daily and some weekly. But some are semi annual for me so that is why this list. Also my kitchen was a mess this morning with dishes and such so I added that to my list.

Ok I am not cleaning the light fixture because it is a pain and I don't want to mess with it. I don't have blinds or a curtain in my kitchen (need to put a curtain up) right now so I don't have to deal with that. I will see if I can post a photo later as it looks all nice and sparkly right now.

I am going to make a new post for the next room.

lol I was being a smarty pants. This post actually motivated me to clean my kitchen window, so thank you!

ok so I have it all done EXCEPT the sweep/mopping I gotta do that once everyone is in bed lol.. It never stays clean if I do it while everyone is awake and then I get so upset that all my hard work is messy before I even finish! :lol:

so whats on the adjenda for tomorrow! Oh and I think this thread needs PICS!!! Before/After yep yep!

Well I posted a new thread with my pics of my kitchen, only the after though, the before was seriously scary!

I have started a new thread for the bathroom. I have all ready done both of ours. They weren't too bad so it went quickly while the baby took a nap.

I will post a couple of more rooms tomorrow too so you can do them when you have a chance.

I am behind because we were out most of yesterday but I am gonna work my big butt off today! I am NOT posting before pictures. lol

I am making my list and checking it twicw, hope to get all mine done...

make 1 bib
Pack 4 boxes today (small goal)
