It normally takes a compelling reason to get me to make something pink so I can't really explain this one. Well, yes actually I can. My little girl is deeply in love with her new kitten Orion. He's black with a white belly and socks. When I saw this fabric on the clearance table I had to buy it. Its got silly black kitties and its a Loralie design (wrong spelling, but close enough lol.) What baffles me is my need to go out yesterday specifically to buy bright pink lace because I felt it wasn't complete without it.

Just a simple strip skirt, but she seems happy :)

It's 12 6 inch panels. I usually taper the panels so they are 3" on top and 6" on bottom and do a gored skirt of some kind, but Lorelei doesn't mind the fullness at the waist as long as I use 2" elastic, so I often get lazy when I do hers. It also lets me add a yoke later to make it longer when she grows.
