Ok, I know my baby hasn't been born yet but I like to arm myself with facts and data first!

I just read in a magazine the general vaxing ages, as follows:

2 months (2 injections) - 1, the five-in-one vaccine: diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio & Hib meningitis. 2, Pneumococcal vaccine.

3 months (2 injections) - 1, the five-in-one vaccine as before. 2, MenC vaccine.

4 months (3 injections) 1, five-in-one vaccine again. 2, Pneumococcal vaccine again. 3, MenC vaccine again.

12 months (1 injection) - Hib meningitis again and MenC booster.

13 months (2 injections) - 1, MMR vaccine. 2, Pneumococcal Vaccine again.

Now I totally agree with delaying or non-vaxing (particulary for illnesses that are life-threating or haven't been around for so many years).
But how did you get your OH to agree?
I can just imagine my DH will see this list and worry that there's a concern and our baby needs to be jabbed. And what about the rest of the family? I've already had the old "well, all my children were vaccinated and nothing's wrong with them" speech!
Are any of those vaccines actually really necessary? Should I pick and choose?

Are there as many vaccines as this in wherever you're from?

So many questions, I'm sorry! It's all so scary! Please advise :(

My best advice is to start reading.

This book helped me a lot:
Amazon.com: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Vaccinations: Books: Stephanie Cave,Deborah Mitchell (http://www.amazon.com/What-Doctor-About-Childrens-Vaccinations/dp/0446677078/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200071822&sr=1-1)

Honestly, I research everything to death and discuss with my Dh along the way - he trusts my judgment.

This site lists vaccine ingredients: WAVE - Vaccine Ingredients (http://www.novaccine.com/vaccine-ingredients/)

Vaccination Information & Choice Network - Vaccine/Vaccination/Immunization Dangers (http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm)

Here's an online course on vaccine dangers:
Vaccination Information & Choice Network - Class - Introduction to Vaccine Dangers & Disease Reality Online Classes (http://www.wellwithin1.com/vaccineclass.htm)

I really, really like Dr. Sears new Vaccines book! I know, I keep saying that. This is a MUST read IMO and is so unbiased and open, I think it would be a great read for you and your dh.

I agree with the PP. Read as much as you can. The more you know and the more confident you are, the less likely people will give you a hard time.

Yes, come join us on the vaccination forum! :)

I second the recommendation to read Stephanie Cave's book, and also would recommend reading Vaccinations: A Thoughtful Parent's Guide by Aviva Jill Romm. Also, the CDC pink book is a great place to get information.

Good luck with your research! :)
