For the start of the new year, I made a list of everything that I want/need to sew in the next few months. Does anyone else have a sewing to-do list? Feel like sharing? Feel like laughing at the hideously long list that I've got?

WOW, that's an impressive list:bow:
I hope you post pictures of some of those projects as you finish them. I'd really like to see the ball gown.
I just want to make a new skirt, a matching belt/scarf, make some gift bags, make a silk scarf for dd#1, and finish the quilt I've been working on for the past two years. Non of these things has a deadline.

I have a list but since my sewer is hating me right now I am getting frustrated to even try to sew.
Need to finish 13 Olivias and the matching leggings
Quilt squares for March-these should be ok since I won't be using my overcast stitch
Decide what I need to make for summer clothes-trace patterns if I need to

I have a hoodie for dd that's been cut out since September that I NEED to finish! It's intimidating me because there's lots of binding and I'm scared of binding! I also have a bag for me that's been cut out since May or June :drop: -- no excuse for that one not being done.
I also need to make a baby blanket before march, a bathrobe for ds before April... and I think that's it on my need to do list. I've been having lots of fun knitting lately so my sewing has been on the back burner.
oops, I forgot that I need to make a sling for my sister by March. I still need to get the fabric for that one.

I am cutting way back in the hopes of being more productive when I don't have so much on my plate at once. In fact, I'm even going to sell at least 80% of my stash.
Anyway, here is my small list for now:
~sock monkeys for girls (finish one, make the other)
~robes for both
~pillowcase for Kathryn
~finish Lauren's space quilt
~"Scrooge" nightcap for Dave...yes, the man who sleeps in his boxer briefs wants me to make him a nightcap
I think that's it for now :)

Also, I love linen. Do you have a special kind that you buy?

Gnome Goggins are the really long fleece hat's I've got on my Etsy store. I've got 12 more in various stages of finished & plenty of fleece to make tons more.
Also, I love linen. Do you have a special kind that you buy?
I buy all my linen from Fabrics-store.com: Fabric - Linen fabric - Discount fabric - Upholstery fabric - Wholesale fabric - Vintage fabric - Cotton fabric (http://www.fabric-store.com). I use the 3oz for shirts & shifts and 5oz for everything else. I really love their remnants section!
The good news is that the list is already getting smaller. I resized DD's gown pattern from last year & cut out 1 linen & 1 wool this weekend. Yippie! Now to just started actually sewing.

wow chole, that's some list! i can't wait to see all your gowns etc, i love seeing that re-enactment type garb :)
my list is certainly less impressive, but i've got a mile long list of simpler things to do:
-finish shelby's coat (tho i cut it too big and she won't be able to wear it till next year lol!)
-finish the 3 ls tees i have cut out for shelby
-make curtains for shelby's room
-make me some skirts for spring
-spring/summer for the kids
-easter clothes

Bumping - How's evreybody doing? Anybody got pics of what they've done so far?
I edited mine as some sewing for other people has gotten onto a more specific timeline. And since today is the last day of January, I'm determined to finish my January goal!

Not as great as I had hoped.
Almost finished a nice shift for myself & have a 2nd cut out
cut out & half finished DD's green linen gown but I'm having a heck of a time with the front point
did managed to make an 1920's outfit though.
and the haversack for BF is finished
Haven't even started on the ball gown & that's needed next weekend.
did manage to finished the Gnome Goggins I had cut out though.
Darn it, still spending too much time at the computer & not enough with the needle & thread.

The only thing I have left from my list is the bathrobe. I wasn't thinking about the whole year when I made my list though. So my new list would include:
*I always make each child a special outfit for their birthday so I have an outfit to make by April, May, June, July and August.
*finish a luxe baby towel for my sister (just need to bind it which I HATE!)
*maybe make a few diapers for this baby
*I'd like to make myself a nice retro apron, but that's a bonus if I get to it
*Easter dresses for the girls if I get motivated enough before the baby is born
Really, the birthday outfits, bathrobe and towel are the only things that I *have* to do... I'm not putting any pressure on myself to get the other things done.

I've only got post-partum pads to make, made my first trial one tonight. I don't know how many I'll need... 10 maybe? All to be made before baby arrives obviously. Oh! And breastfeeding pad things!
Also want to make a couple of cloth nappies, I've bought enough to last to toddler but they're not very cute KWIM?

Wow!!
I want to do some baby things for a newly pregnant friend. Probably little slippers and I don't know what else yet.
I'm working on a Wheel of the Year wall hanging, but it's still in the planning stages.
And someday soon I'll do a ren faire dress. I have the shift/underdress thinggy done, but no idea what fabric to use for the overdress. Any suggestions for fabrics or patts? I have Simplicity 8855 and 8715 but just figured out that they're the wrong size. I was silly enough when I bought them to think that size 8 was equal to a size 8. Ha!!
