I have not participated in this, but I know a lot of people that have and have been pleased with the quality of what they get.
You don't have to qualify for this program.

I posted it on another thread, but thought someone else might benefit from the information.

thanks for the reminder. It's too far from me, but I do remember other threads about it and the posters were happy.

This is a wonderful program! I refer clients to them ALL the time. If you check out the menu, they really focus on fresh, lean meats and frozen veggies--that's a HARD thing to get a handle on when you shop on a budget.

They have apparently raised the price by $5. I think it is a good deal if you are short on cash. I have looked it up a few times over the years for us though and it contains to many convenience foods that we would not use. I have had family use it though and they do love it.

i have used it and am super grateful for all of the food we had while not making ANY money for a couple of months...and after. i will say that i did not find the quality of the meat to be very good at all. they have boneless skinless chicken breasts, but they are soaked in a super unnatural marinade that i just could not stomach. the chopped steak was super unnaturally treated as well, but i was able to just crumble it all up and use it for spaghetti sauce. like i said, i am very glad to have the opportunity to use it, but i sure as heck wish i had more money for groceries instead. :)
