What have you been doing to make it seem more like Christmas when the weather has been in the 80's every day.

It has been really hard when we're still wearing shorts and running the A/C. I just put up a tree Thursday, if it hadn't been for the kids I wouldn't have done that. I just haven't been in a christmassy mood. But you know what? It hasn't mattered to the kids one bit. They're having no problem getting into the holiday spirit. :)

The last several years around where I live have been warmer during the holiday season. 2 years ago I even sunbathed - in my bikini - on New Year's Day!! So we've just kinda adapted. And really - the things that are most Christmas-sy to us are the music, Christmas lights, hot tea/hot chocolate/good coffee, and great times together. Hot weather can get in the way of the spirit at times, but we always figure that about 5 days later, it'll be back in the 30s.
