Update.... I dropped my serger off for service at the service shop that Aubin suggested yesterday at lunch and they told me 2-5 business days.

I just got a voicemail here at my office that the serger is DONE! And I can pick it up today!! I am on CLOUD NINE!!! I can get my Xmas sewing done this weekend!

And the bill?? $79.95 + tax which is SO reasonable!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a serger in beautiful condition from my neighbour's adult DD while she was having a garage sale.

I haven't touched it since (September) because of no time.

I pull it out, want to start whipping up some cloth tote bags for Christmas gifts. Sounds great right?

Dh thought he was "helping" me and UNTHREADED the serger to blow it out... etc.

I can't figure out how to rethread it... I am following the chart etc and every time I do a test run it ties knots around the plate underneath!!!

Ugh ugh ugh...

how much would a sewing shoppe charge me to rethread it do you think?:eyes:

Thank you!! Aubin  I am going to call you when I get home... I am going NUTS and I have tried so many times this week. He "thought" he was helping me.... UGH and he looked at me and said "Why can't you just fix it?" :drop:

are you threading in the right order? Mine is lower looper, upper looper, right needle, left needle. Make sure that the threads lay in that order, not crossing or anything. Then grab all f threads and pull them as your starting to serge.
