I'm trying to make my son a quilt for Christmas. My plan was for a center panel that was big and then borders with cornerstones. The center would be this fabric here: http://www.thefabricfinder.com/MichaelMillerRoadworkGreen1.JPG
The borders were going to be this one: http://www.thefabricfinder.com/MichaelMillerConstructionStripeC2032A.JPG
The stripes for the borders run the length of the fabric. Only problem is I didn't buy a long enough cut. If my border includes all four of the stripes in the border fabric I can only get 3 sets of the four stripes. I don't want to cut down the size of the center panel because it would be too small for him I think. I can't figure out a way to split the stripe designs up because they are all different widths. Unless I split the top and bottom borders. Would that look too funny? They's be a smaller width than the sides and the top slightly smaller than the bottom. Or I could try to find a solid to coordinate for the top and bottom borders.
ack :help: please
