How are those littles doing?
How old are they now? How many teeth? What do they say? What do they love to do??
Luna is coming up on 16 months. She's got 12 teeth in a 4 more poking through right now.
She's been learning a new word just about every day! So far she says: Mama, Dada, Sissy, doggy (goggy), Kitty (teetee), kiss (tiss), Hi! (always said with exuberance), tree, siiiide (for outside), eat, drink (dink), night night, pillow (peee-yow), bath, icky, stuck, duck, hat, hot, socks, off, yeah.... Hmm, I think there are more.
Her favorite activites are: drawing with a pencil (supervised), taking baths, putting blocks into coffee cans, eating (I can't so much as walk into the kitchen without her coming running and yelling, "EEEEEAT!", taking walks outside, going up and down small steps, fishing with the kittens, playing with her sisters, sitting in boxes, looking at board books (especially about animals or babies and Clifford books)...
She understands a lot of what we say, tries to copy just about everything we do. She wants to do things herself and is VERY busy. Keeps me on my toes for sure!
Check in and update us about your little ones!!

Meeshi... she is such a doll. I mean really. And that dress? Just darling. :)
Logan is 10 months now. He is walking, but he hasn't taken any more steps than he did last month. 2 steps here, 3 steps there. No confidence at all. And I am grateful. :)
He is 24lbs still. Still my lightest baby at 10 months. Wears 24 month clothes (and 2T for length, but swims in them for width) and pops the crotch on the one pieces. I am drafting him a pattern for pants this weekend, and my friend and I are going to make some. Another long skinny boy to add to the ranks of this house. Man... I hope he is a bit thicker than Alex...
He has 6 teeth.
He eats absolutly everything that isn't nailed down, and he has been getting really upset about having different meals than us, so he is now eating 'real people food' 90% of the time... "none of that mush for me please" he says.
He signs. He signs all the time. Gestures with his hands. About half the time I know what he is saying. Well, maybe not quite that much. But he does sign when he is eating. "more", "up", "down", "all done", and "nurse" are all signs he uses very consistantly.
He still wakes at least 3 times a night. He still sleeps on me. He still yells at me when we stay home too long, and is needy.
He is still the smiliest baby anyone outside of our house ever has met.
He had his first stranger anxiety the other day when my friend Sarah climbed into the backseat of my car with him and he couldn't see me. That was NOT ok. When I pulled him out of his seat and had him in the front seat with me (we were sitting talking in the car while it rained outside) he was ok, and even smiled at her. But he was not ok with not seeing me when she was sitting there.
He asked me to read to him for the first time yesterday too. He brought me a book (pet the animals). But we had already read that one that day, so I picked another one, and he kept petting the pages like the other book. So of course, I melted and read him the pet the animals book again. He loves books. When Cyan and I are reading he will sit next to us on the couch with his own book... and only occasionally jump over me to get to the book we are reading. Very cute!
He adores his big brother. He loves Cyan too, but Alex is something special... to be treasured. Alex wakes up with him in the morning (my morning boys) and will take him from my room and play with him while I drag my tired sorry butt out of bed. If Alex doesn't come get him, Logan will throw himself over me and slide down to the ground, open the bedroom door and crawl over to Alex's room and push the door open, or stand there (if it is latched shut) and pound on it until Alex comes and gets him. Alex gets greated with squeals of delight and honestly, I think he loves it as much as I love the half hour that it gives me to wake up each morning. Alex is such a love.
In other kid news. Cyan is doing beautifully with homeschooling. And I am crafting again. So exciting!
Anyhoo... that is it on our front.

Jack's 16 months tomorrow.
He's steady on his feet and pretty much just runs now. He has major separation anxiety - major - like, I can't lay him down and DH can't leave the room without a MASSIVE meltdown. That's wearing on me. He's not sleeping at night either, also wearing on me.
Food-wise, he's doing a little better. He was really really slow at eating solid foods (only crackers and bread products). Now he'll put other things in his mouth - likes pomegranate kernels, loves bananas, likes apple slices, likes small pieces of clementines (but will sometimes choke on those because he sucks all the juice out), loves mango juice (watered-down) on really rare occasions, drinks almond and rice milk but prefers soy (which he is intolerant of), but would rather have ice water in a sippy or boobies.
He has 16 teeth, last time I checked. He's hilarious - a total comedian at heart. He makes the funniest "surprised" face and sends us all into fits of giggles with his antics. His favorite toy is the computer keyboard when his sisters are using it, measuring cups, and oatmeal packets. (We have a large/deep drawer where we keep insant oatmeal - he throws it ALL over the kitchen, then goes back around and picks it up and puts it back away).
Oh - and he loves, loves throwing and kicking things - like, balls. He walks around the living room kicking a toy or a little ball all the time. And he has a heck of an arm for a lefty ;)

Raeghan will be 16 months on the 4th. She says Da (daddy), Journey, and STOP! Not a big talker but she's a HUGE communicator and always lets you know exactly what she wants.
She has 12 teeth.
She eats any and everything - all the time. More than my 4.5yo!!
She loves to draw, play hide-n-seek, and chase/run from her brother.
She's FIERCELY independent and most of her tantrums are when she can't do something on her own.
She's the silliest baby I've ever seen - doing things (like running around in circles til she falls and sticking her tongue waaaay out and giggling) just to make us laugh.

Aw, I loved reading all about Logan, Jack and Raeghan!! :hbeat: The sig pictures are just so sweet!! I want to hear more about other Amity babies! Any Mama's to newborns and tiny one want to check in? Where are the other Summer 06 baby boom Mamas?
Luna's word usage is growing fast a furious, she learned a bunch of new words yesterday and first thing this morning she went right to the fridge and wanted, "Bahkli" (broccoli). Yesterday, she was all about eating raw broccoli. Looks like more of the same today!

Raeghan's not big on words, it's funny. She talks all the time, her language, LOL. She eh, eh and uh, uh's a lot and points and if she wants something I tell her to "show me" and she'll take me right to what she wants.

I've never posted in this forum, but here I am now with a 3.5 month old. Actually, he'll be 4 months old in 10 days! I can't believe how fast it's going by. But he started out life cranky and colicky and he's finally turning into a happy baby. He smiles and laughs a lot and is a lot of fun to play with. But he's still pretty high needs. I wish my husband were around so I could get a real break sometimes.
The thing I'm most amazed about with this baby is his growth. My daughter sure as heck didn't grow this fast! This baby is nearly 15lbs and almost 26" long. We're in 6-9 month clothes now.

Tarquin just turned 16 months last week, too :) . He is another book lover - his favorite is "The Foot Book" by Dr. Seuss and I have to read it a few hundred times per day :-).
He got all of his teeth through the first molar set pretty early, but nothing more since then.
I've been sort of worried about language, since his only two words are some form of "d'deeeeee" for daddy and "B" "B" with the sign for "book". You'd think I'd remember when my children spoke their first words, but I really do forget inbetween children. I'm relieved that a few of you others with 16 months old are talking about few words, too! I used to be so relaxed and easy-going about language development until my 6th child, who I was . . . uhmmm . . . too relaxed about; he didn't talk at all at 3 and ended up in 3 years of speech therapy.
Tarquin isn't allowed to eat any food for any foreseeable time due to his multiple food allergies, but he sure does want to. He spends a good deal of time every day surveying the floor hoping to find a dropped crumb. We've had some interesting allergic reactions when he's successful :eyes: - it's a continual struggle with all of these children home all day!
I've never had a baby sleep through the night before they hit 2, but these last three with their profound eczema don't sleep more than about an hour and a half at a time. Yep I'm in a profound chronic exhaustion thing - but it's not really about me. In the night I walk him and I make up songs about whatever my eye falls on (I have this long one about the expo markers on the bookshelf), and I know it will feel like TOMORROW that he's in college and I'm trying to remember how today felt.
I love one-year-olds - so funny and cute with their antics and little ways of showing love  . When he feels especially loving, he wants to gently tap foreheads together instead of kissing (he kisses, too, when asked). The big girls have trained him to kiss their hands in a courtly way  . He loves to dance to music with a serious face on and makes up all sorts of arm-waving steps.
Thanks for starting this thread Meeshi - I've been wondering how all of the babies from the "Amity Baby Boom of Ought-Six" were doing! And loving the other updates, as well!

wow, it is so fun to read all about everyone's little ones! :) they are all so CUTE!! i really don't post here often so most of you will probably have no idea who the heck i am but i will post an update about our little guy... because who doesn't like talking about their baby?!! ;)
harper is 6.5 months old and absolutely adorable (this mama's opinion anyway, lol!). he weighs approx. 23 lbs and has 2 little teeth. they both came in together about 3 weeks ago. he went through a week long bite-mama-while-breastfeeding stage as soon as they came in. OUCH!!!! thank goodness it was short lived!
he doesn't crawl yet and really hasn't even tried. he rolls all over though and loves to sit up and play. we should have an easy holiday since he will not be able to get the tree... or the gifts... or the other decorations placed randomly around the house!
he is afraid of the vacuum, and anything else that is loud. he LOVES the remote control and cries and cries when we take it away. a toy remote will just not do, he wants to be in control of the real one.
he has a very special bond with esme' who is 4.5 years old. she loves him more than anything and he loves her right back. it is an awesome thing to witness, the two of them together. it melts my heart...

OK, our turn!
Avram is 11 months old, has two teeth on the bottom and almost two on top. He's doing this really cute thing where he sticks his lips out like Pingu does. And he loves to give me a nice wet kiss! We had a lovely time the other night as he kissed Mommy, then Daddy, then Mommy, then Daddy - very sweet. :smooch:
He likes looking at family pictures on the computer, says Mama, Dada, Baba, and a ton of other variations. He's going through a squealing phase that's eardrum-piercing! (Teething on these two big teeth has been just :wah: )
He can walk around on furniture like a pro, and stands for a few seconds at a time, but doesn't like to. His favorite game is "Push the Buttons" - phones, cell phones, remote controls, the TV, anything. Much to his brother and sister's delight!
He's eating a lot of foods - seems to have grown out of a lot of his food allergies (thank goodness!) and my diet has extended a bit to include everything but eggs and berries and pears. Although he is getting some eczema, so we're not sure if that's from extra drooling with teething or because I'm eating more wheat. Hmmm...
Sleep-wise, not so great. And I get very un-sweet by the third wake-up IYKWIM! :vent: But last night we spoon fed him some mushy food at 10pm before we went to bed (he sleep eats quite well!) and he didn't wake until 3am, so I'm going to do that again tonight!
We aren't co-sleeping as a rule, and he seems to like his space. If he does sleep with us, he usually throws himself on top of the blankets, in the opposite direction from us! It's like, "Why are you in here, if you're just trying to get away?" So he's usually in his crib in his sister's room.
I can't believe how old my baby is getting! And BIG! What a fatty!:drop: His thighs are literally twice the size of my friend's little boy's legs - who is a year older! He's really meaty in the thigh region - but then so was my older boy, and he's a total bone-rack at 7, so it probably won't last.
All-in-all, we've had a very quick, very fun year. All my weight was gone at about 5 months, I have my body mostly back (except for nursing, of course!) and I'm looking forward to our first family Christmas. And his first birthday - oh my goodness - a week after Christmas I'll have a one-year-old!:help:

Oh, and Avi just LOVES the Wiggles! Who knew such a tiny kid would be so into them? I'm going to get him another DVD for Christmas, I think. ;)

Atticus is 13 months. I weighed him yesterday and he's up to 18lbs10oz. He has 4 teeth. He doesn't say anything yet, doesn't walk yet. He does climb up Sophie's big little tikes slide that is in her room and on to a chair and then onto the table. Let's see he wakes a few times at night still and I'm exhausted. He hates any and all solid foods except the plain donut we gave him the other day. He makes the very cutest faces and acts silly. I think he likes making us laugh, especially Sophie. I'm smitten and if I knew that I would get another baby with Atticus's temperament I'd have another. He's just so easy going and smiley.
