Hmm... Well, we've lived in this town for 5 years now, and we don't really have any friends. Good friends, you know? There's plenty of people we are friends with in the say Hi at the post office way, but it would be wonderful (for all of us, husband, kids and I) to make some friends we can do things with. I can't really put it into words well.

I know it's an odd request, usually one thinks of health or emotional stuff to tap on. I think that after this long we do have emotional stuff around it. I think I'm extra emotional about it right now because the one couple we knew and really connected with (but they lived north of us and we didn't get together often) moved out of state this past weekend.

Okay, so there is my odd request. :)

Edited out some stuff.

I don't think it is an odd request AT ALL.

After all...you can use EFT to get rid of the negative to allow the positive to come in.
You never know what shape or form your greatest friends will come in.

Will tap for you again today!

I just want to say, and I HOPE this comes across ok...I have friends who I do not agree with life stuff 100% IYKWIM. They are good friends to me for what they are capable of giving and receiving...and for the things we have in common. Some friends who I adore I can only take in small doses because they live SUCH STRESSFUL lives...everything is a crisis. SOme friends I don't socialize in the evenings with because they drink a lot more alcohol thatn I do...but they are super friends other wise. Some friends I only talk about the stuff we have in common...and the rest we just let lie.

Something useful for you to tap on *might be* whatever negative feelings you have about them trying to 'save' you. Believe me I am not a church goer, if I were it would be Unitarian...so I understand. Also, I understand what a bind this is, because they think you are going to hell for the way you live...My INlaws are catholic and they have talked to their (very progressive) priest about 'us' because according to their belief system we are going to hell. It worries them a bit. But their priest is brillant enough to tell them that we each have our own path and who is to say the Catholic one is the 'right' one. hehe.

I am sure there are beautiful blessings in your adversity. Yes, being in a small town for 5 years and not feeling close to anyone is adversity in my eyes.

And..I posted recently about the law of attraction. Maybe look at the people you are friendly with and think about only the positive in them if something negative starts bugging you. And see if that changes how you see things. IT is a very powerful way to look at the world I am finding. It keeps us from feeling it is *us* and *them* and makes it more we are all one...

Now, please understand I am thinking out loud. I do not pretend to have the answers...and I do know how hard it is. We are possibly moving to a very small town soon and I have your concerns for our family as well. I might end up homeschooling..lol!

Linda, thanks for your thoughts. :)

It's not that we need friends who agree with us on everything, but friends who don't judge, condemn others. We're very much outside. I know there must be some people out there similar to us. I'm not sure how to find them. :) We're quiet, not pushing our views off on anyone.

Yes, I get it. I totally get that religious negative slant. Even if you don't take it personally it is incredibly draining to be around. Racism..well sometimes it is not far of from the religious separatism...non-inclusion...****ation of others who think differently than us. It has got to be very hard for you! It is draining

Mu father's wife is coming for a visit with him next week. She is one of those people who ONLY says negative stuff and is very convicted. She also like to get in pissing contests with anyone who disagrees with her. My teacher Rehana says...throw their beliefs back in their face. For example, when my father's wife says "I don't know HOW you live in NEW ZEALAND, it is so provincial..." I was thinking I could say back..."You are so lucky to live in cosmopolitan Los Angeles as it suits you so well!" Instead of defending New Zealand...saying how much we love it here etc...I just throw it back in her face.

I KNOW you will find friends in your town. I know they are there for you. And remember people come and go..just like your friends who recently moved did. I am SURE that if you visualize what you want they will come. I FIRMLY believe in this. There are like minded, open minded people there...now you can focus on them and draw them to you. Even if they are not there now...you will draw them to move there. I know that sounds nuts, but I believe it. That is how I got my 2 college degrees, my husband, moved to New Zealand, my first nursing job in a beautiful ski area etc etc.

I think that's a great request and something I'm certainly pondering on myself.

I'll better focus my tapping for you. :)

I understand what you're saying about finding like-minded people. I agree with Linda and using the laws of attraction. Years ago I often made life plans and then expected them to happen. They almost always came to fruition. Goals I guess you'd say. LOA is very effective. I need to get back to that. Somehow I lost focus.

You will find what you need.
