I'm wondering what secular thing there is out there for language arts.

Workbooks, in general, do not work for my auditory learner.

I'm looking forward to trying teaching textbooks, hopefully next year. My ds generally doesn't do well with workbooks, but for some reason he likes Easy Grammar. The lessons are in very short increments and the instructions are very clear. Even mommy gets it, and English is not my thing.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into it.

I hope you get to try TT. I just think it is great. My son is an auditory learner so it really helps him to hear it presented that way.
